He that gives unto the poor shall never lack, but he that hides his eyes from the poor shall have many a curse.

If thy brother becomes poor and has sold away some of his possession, his redeemer shall come, his closest kinsman, and shall redeem that which his brother sold.

If there should be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy towns in thy land which the LORD thy God gives thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother, but thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he lacks.

Is it not to share thy bread with the hungry and that thou bring the poor that are cast out into thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou not hide thyself from thy brother?

Jesus said unto him, If thou desire to be perfect, go and sell what thou hast and give it to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come and follow me.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go, sell all that thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross , and follow me taking up thy stake (if thy desire is to be perfect).

Now when Jesus heard this, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.

Sell what ye have and give alms; ; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches neither moth corrupts.

sharing for the needs of the saints, and given to hospitality.

Only they asked that we should remember the poor; the same which I was also diligent to do.

Let the elders that govern well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treads out the grain. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

And thou shalt give the money, of the ransoms of the odd number of them, unto Aaron and to his sons.

And every offering of all the holy things of the sons of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.

nor bag for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes nor a staff, for the workman is worthy of his food.

Let the one that is taught in the word communicate unto the one that teaches in all good things.

Let the LORD recompense thy work and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to cover thyself.

Honour widows that are widows indeed. But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let those learn first to govern their house in piety and to recompense their parents, for this is honest and pleasing before God.

Each one according as they purpose in their heart, so let them give, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, When thou takest the number of the sons of Israel after the sum of them, each one shall give a ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou dost number them, that there be no mortality in them because of numbering them. This shall be given by every one that passes among those that are numbered: half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary (a shekel is twenty gerahs); a half shekel shall be the offering to the LORD.read more.
Anyone that passes among those that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give the offering unto the LORD. The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give the offering unto the LORD to make reconciliation for your souls. And thou shalt take the reconciliation money of the sons of Israel and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the testimony, and it shall be a memorial unto the sons of Israel before the LORD to reconcile your souls.

And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a turtledove as sin, unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, unto the priest, who shall offer it before the LORD and reconcile her, and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that has given birth to a male or a female. And if she is not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons: the one for the burnt offering and the other as sin; and the priest shall reconcile her, and she shall be clean.

At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year and shalt lay it up within thy gates.

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, In what have we robbed thee? In the tithes and the offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye, even this whole nation, have robbed me. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, and there shall be food in my house, and prove me now in this, said the LORD of the hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

They say unto him, Caesar's. Then said he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's.

And Jesus, answering, said unto them, Render that which is of Caesar unto Caesar, and that which is of God unto God. And they marvelled at this.

And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's and unto God the things which are God's.

For this cause ye also pay them tribute, for they are God's ministers, attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of thee and of thine own have we given thee.

And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go and will give me bread to eat and clothing to put on so that I come again to my father's house in peace, then shall the LORD be my God; and this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house; and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth part unto thee.

Speak unto the sons of Israel that they bring me an offering; of every man that gives it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD; whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD: gold, silver, brass;

And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the sanctified things that is brought into the house of the LORD, the money of the redemptions of each one that passes the account, the money of each soul according to the estimation of each one, and all the money that comes into any man's heart to bring into the house of the LORD,

Then the princes of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the princes of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly

And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought in and cast into the ark until they had fulfilled their duty.

And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks; these were of the king's substance. And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand six hundred sheep and three hundred oxen. Conaniah, likewise, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, princes of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for the sacrifices of the passover five thousand sheep, and five hundred oxen.

And I said unto them, Ye are holiness unto the LORD; the vessels are holiness also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.

Now therefore finish the doing of it that as there was a readiness to will, so there may also be a performance out of that which ye have. For if there is first a willing desire, it is accepted according to what a person has and not according to what they do not have.

Take heed not to do your alms before men, to be seen of them; otherwise, ye have no reward of your Father who is in the heavens. Therefore, when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They already have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doethread more.
that thine alms may be in secret; and thy Father who sees in secret, he shall reward thee openly.

Each first sabbath let each one of you set aside in store, as God has prospered him, that there be no collections when I come.

and they spoke with Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the work of the ministry which the LORD commanded to make.

And his offering was one silver charger, the weight thereof was one hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them were full of fine flour mingled with oil for a present;

Moreover, because I have my delight in the house of my God, I have in my own treasury, gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary: three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses;

give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye measure out it shall be measured to you again.

how that in a great trial of tribulation the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, and even beyond their power they were willing of themselves,

but charge them to do good, that they be rich in good works, liberal to distribute, willing to communicate,

But the LORD said to David, my father, Forasmuch as it was in thy heart to build a house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thy heart;

And with Jesus sitting in front of the ark of the offering, he beheld how the people cast money into the ark and many that were rich cast in much. And as there came a certain poor widow, she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. Then calling his disciples, he said unto them, Verily I say unto you that this poor widow has cast more in than all those who have cast into the treasury,read more.
for they all did cast in of their abundance, but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

And he looked up and saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting two mites in there. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you that this poor widow has cast in more than they all;read more.
for all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God, but she out of her poverty has cast in all the living that she had.

Likewise he shall offer one of the turtledoves or of the young pigeons, such as he can get,

But if he is poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to the ability of the one that vowed shall the priest value him.

Each man with the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God, which he shall have given thee.

They gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work sixty-one thousand drams of gold and five thousand pounds of silver and one hundred priests' garments.
