This is the book of the descendants of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in the likeness of God;

Son of man, raise up lamentations upon the king of Tyre and say unto him, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Thou dost seal up the sum of perfection, full of wisdom, and completed in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering: the sardius, topaz, diamond, turquoise, onyx, and beryl, the sapphire, ruby, and emerald, and gold; the works of thy tambourines and of thy pipes were prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou, great cherubim, wast covered, and I placed thee; thou wast in the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked among stones of fire.read more.
Thou wast perfect in all thy ways from the day that thou wast created, until iniquity was found in thee.

With it we bless God, even the Father; and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God.

for all have sinned and are made destitute of the glory of God,

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou dost eat of it thou shalt surely die.

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth sons; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife and hast eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it, cursed shall be the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the grass of the field;read more.
in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread until thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken, for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

What is man that he should be clean and that he that is born of a woman should be justified? Behold, he puts no trust in his saints, and not even the heavens are clean in his sight. How much less the man who is abominable and filthy, who drinks iniquity like water?

Thou wast perfect in all thy ways from the day that thou wast created, until iniquity was found in thee. Because of the multitude of thy trafficking thou wast filled with violence, and thou hast sinned; and I cast thee out of the mountain of God, and I cast thee unto evil from among the stones of fire, O cherubim that wast covered. Thine heart lifted thee up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness; I will cast thee to the earth; I will expose thee before the kings, that they may behold thee.

because having known God, they did not glorify him as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

And when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me and be thou perfect.

How then can man be justified with God? Or how can he that is born of a woman be clean?

Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in the place of his holiness? He that has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not taken my name in vain, nor sworn deceitfully.

that he might present her glorious for himself, a congregation , not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

For by one offering he has perfected for ever those that are sanctified.

God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

to the congregation of the called out ones of the firstborn, who are registered in the heavens and to God the Judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfect

and the patience finishes the work, that ye may be perfect and entire, not lacking in anything.

Therefore, leaving now the word of the beginning of the establishment of the Christ, let us go on unto perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from works of death, and of faith in God,

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect.

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and his charity is completed in us.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

that ye may approve the best, that ye may be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ,

that ye may be blameless and innocent, children of God without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world,

The pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation and to keep thyself unspotted from this world.

Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye hope for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and blameless.

that thou keep the commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

But whosoever keeps his word, in him verily is the charity of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

For we all offend in many things. If any man offends not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to govern the whole body with restraint.

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfect in one and that the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them as thou hast loved me.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfect, joined together in the same understanding and in the same perception.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfection.

These things I have spoken unto you that my joy may abide in you and that your joy might be fulfilled.

He that has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice; this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

Until now ye have asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be fulfilled.

And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be fulfilled.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusts in thee.

Those who love thy law have great peace, and nothing shall cause them to stumble.

And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.read more.
For now we see as through a mirror, in darkness, but then we shall see face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know even as I also am known.

But I am convinced regarding you, my brethren, that even without my exhortation ye are full of charity, full of all knowledge, so as to be able to admonish one another.

that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in charity and in all the riches of the fulfilled understanding to know the mystery of the God and Father and of the Christ;
