A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall everyone know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

And the second is like it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy strength and with all thy understanding, and thy neighbour as thyself.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. Charity suffers long and is benign; charity envies not; charity does nothing without due reason, is not puffed up, is not injurious, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil, rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Charity is never lost, but prophecies shall come to an end, tongues shall cease, and knowledge shall come to an end. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see as through a mirror, in darkness, but then we shall see face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know even as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

and walk in charity even as the Christ also has loved us and has given himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

But as touching love among the brethren, ye need not that I write unto you, for ye yourselves have learned of God that ye are to show charity to one another.

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, That we should love one another.

Beloved, let us love one another, for charity is of God. Anyone that loves is born of God and knows God.

forbearing one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a quarrel against another: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

For if ye set men free from their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also set you free;

And when ye are praying, forgive if ye have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in the heavens will also forgive you your trespasses.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven;

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother should trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God has forgiven you in Christ.

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas; this woman was full of good works and alms-deeds which she did.

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the afflicted and needy.

Then they shall also answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister unto thee?

I have showed you in all things how that so labouring, ye ought to support the weak and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Let a widow be placed on the list being not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, having a good testimony of good works, if she has brought up well her children, if she has exercised hospitality, if she has washed the feet of the saints, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of charity which ye have showed in his name, having helped the saints and helping them.

He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he that has mercy on the poor, honours him.

that they may teach the young women to be prudent, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be temperate, chaste, good housekeepers, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God not be blasphemed.

Likewise, young people, be subject to the elders in such a manner that you are all subject to one another. Be clothed with humility of will, for God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.

Surely he scorns the scorners; but he gives grace unto the humble.

But it shall not be so among you, but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your slave, even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many.

But it shall not be like this among you, for whosoever desires to make himself great among you shall be your servant; and whosoever of you that desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to serve and to give his life in ransom for many.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in humility let each esteem others better than themselves, with each one not looking to their own things, but also to the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,read more.
who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, made in the likeness of men, and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross .

Admonish them to be subject to dominion and power, and to persuade those who have authority, that they be quick unto every good work. That they speak evil of no one, that they not be contentious, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.

Who is wise and ready among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works in meekness of wisdom.

We also exhort you, brethren, that you warn those that are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with everyone.

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.

But the fruit of the Spirit is this: Charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith,

with all humility and meekness, with tolerance, forbearing one another in love,

strengthened with all might, according to the power of his glory unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness,

Preach the word; be instant in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Be patient, therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently until it receives the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient and confirm your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draws near. Complain not one against another, brethren, that ye not be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.read more.
Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count blessed those who endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job and have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is very merciful, and full of compassion.

submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Let every soul submit itself to the higher powers. For there is no power but of God, and the powers that be are ordained of God.

Therefore, be subject to every human ordinance that is of the Lord, whether it be to a king or to a superior,

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husband, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as the Christ is head of the congregation , and it is he who gives saving health to the body. Therefore, as the congregation is subject unto the Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
