Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were amazed at him.

Do not return evil for evil or insult for insult, but give a blessing instead; for to this you were called, that you may inherit a blessing.

Then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all rule and all authority and power.
Then he also said to the one who invited him, "When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers, your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.
For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
Let the one who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
And he answered them, "He who has two tunics, let him share with him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise."
"Thus, when you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
