Jesus said to her, "Woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." Now six stone jars were standing there, according to the manner for purification of the Jews, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to them, "Fill the jars with water." And they filled them up to the brim. He said to them, "Now draw some out, and take it to the master of the feast." So they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it had come from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, "Every man sets out the good wine first; and when the guests have drunk freely, then the poor wine; but you have kept the good wine until now."

But when Herod's birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod,

But an opportunity came when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet for his high officers and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee. And when the daughter of Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests. The king said to the girl, "Ask me for whatever you want, and I will give it to you."

And the king was sorry; but, because of his oaths and his guests, he commanded it to be given to her;

And the king was exceedingly sorry; but, because of his oaths and his guests, he did not want to refuse her.

And when they saw it they all murmured, "He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner."

And as Jesus sat at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

And as he sat at table in Levi's house, many tax collectors and sinners were sitting with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many who followed him.

Then Levi made him a great feast in his house; and there were a great number of tax collectors and others sitting at table with them.

Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came up to him with an alabaster flask of very expensive perfume, and she poured it on his head as he sat at the table.

And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly. And she broke the flask and poured it over his head.

Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. There they made him a supper; and Martha served, while Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with him. Then Mary took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went to the Pharisee's house, and reclined at the table.

Now as they went on their way, he entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house.

One Sabbath, when he went to dine at the house of a ruler who belonged to the Pharisees, they watched him.

but they constrained him, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent." So he went in to stay with them.

And Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon who is called Peter; he is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.'

Now whatever village or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go out.

And he said to them, "Where you enter a house, stay there until you leave that place.

Whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.

But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion. Then he brought them up into his house, and set food before them; and he rejoiced with his whole household that he had believed in God.

On the next day we left and came to Caesarea, and entering the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, we stayed with him.

Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who welcomed us and entertained us hospitably for three days.

After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. Then he came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to him, "Lord, are you going to wash my feet?" Jesus answered him, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand." Peter said to him, "You shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with me." Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!" Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not every one of you." For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, "You are not all clean." When he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, and returned to his place, he said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss my feet from the time I came in. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with perfume.

So he told a parable to those who were invited, when he noted how they chose the places of honor, saying to them: "When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest one more distinguished than you be invited by him; and he who invited you both will come and say to you, 'Give place to this man,' and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place.read more.
But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, 'Friend, go up higher.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

If one of the unbelievers invites you to dinner and you want to go, eat whatever is set before you without raising questions of conscience.

And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they give, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house.

Then the angel said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of God."

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.

The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let him who hears say, "Come." And let him who is thirsty come; let him who wishes take the water of life without price.

For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste my banquet.'"

And again Jesus spoke to them in parables, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; but they were not willing to come.read more.
Again, he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding.'" But they made light of it and went off, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

Then he said to him, "A certain man gave a great banquet and invited many. And at the time of the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, 'Come, for all is now ready.' But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. I ask you to have me excused.'read more.
And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.' Still another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.'

Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the highways, and invite to the marriage feast as many as you find.' And those servants went out into the streets and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with guests.

And Jesus said to them, "Can the guests of the bridegroom mourn as long as he is with them? The days will come, when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

And Jesus said to them, "Can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

And Jesus said to them, "Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them?

So the servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in the poor and the maimed, the blind and the lame.' And the servant said, 'Sir, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.' Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

And wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher says, where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?'

He said, "Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, 'The Teacher says, my time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.'"

And say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher says to you: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?'
