Romans 10:5-13

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, "The man who does those things shall live by them." Matthew 6:19-24

The crowd and the city authorities were disturbed when they heard this. And when they had taken a pledge from Jason and the others, they let them go.

Acts 8:1-3

Saul was consenting to his death. And on that day a great persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the region of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Devout men buried Stephen, and made great lamentation over him. But Saul began ravaging the church, and, entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.
