And he turned and said to them, If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Then spake Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that followeth me, shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

If any man serve me, let him follow me, and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will the Father honour.

Jesus saith to him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to thee?
