They understood not, that he spake to them of the Father. Believe me, because I am in the Father, and the Father in me; but if not, believe me for the sake of the works.
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering said to him, Thou sayst it.
Upon this Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not a friend to Cesar. Whosoever maketh himself a king, opposeth Cesar.
The Jews answered him, We stone thee not for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ: And the time is near.
But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answering said to him, I adjure thee by the living God, to tell us, if thou art the Christ, the Son of God? Jesus saith to him, Thou hast said. Moreover I say to you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right-hand of power, and coming upon the clouds of heaven.
What is it which these witness against thee? But he held his peace and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him and said to him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man, sitting on the right-hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God: let him deliver him now if he will have him; for he said, I am the Son of God.
And the scribes and the Pharisees reasoned, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies?
Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long with you, and hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me, hath seen the Father: and how sayest thou, Shew us the Father?
