And Amaziah gathered Judah together and made captains over thousands and over hundreds in the houses of their fathers throughout all Judah and Benjamin. Preach the word, be fervent; be it in season, or out of season. Improve, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

And now babes, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence and not be made ashamed of him at his coming.

Wake, therefore, because ye know not what hour your master will come. Of this be sure, that if the good man of the house knew what hour the thief would come: he would surely watch, and not suffer his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready, for in the hour ye think least on, in the same ye think he would not: will the son of man come.

And the Lord said, "If there be any faithful servant, and wise, whom his Lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their duty of meat, at due season: Happy is that servant, whom his master when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, That he will make him ruler over all that he hath.read more.
But and if the evil servant shall say in his heart, 'My master will defer his coming,' and shall begin to smite the servants, and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken: the Lord of that servant will come in a day, when he thinketh not, and at a hour when he is not aware, and will divide him, and will give him his reward, with the unbelievers.

Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went to meet the bridegroom: five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The foolish took their lamps, but took none oil with them.read more.

Take heed: watch, and pray, for ye know not when the time is: As a man which is gone into a strange country and hath left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch, therefore, for ye know not when the master of the house will come: whether at even, or at midnight; whether at the cock crowing, or in the dawning:read more.
lest if he come suddenly, he should find you sleeping. And that I say unto you, I say unto all men: Watch."

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning, and ye yourselves, like unto men that wait for their master when he will return from a wedding: that as soon as he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him. Happy are those servants, which their Lord, when he cometh, shall find waking; Verily I say unto you, he will gird himself about, and make them sit down to meat, and walk by them, and minister unto them.read more.
And if he come in the second watch, yea, if he come in the third watch, and shall find them so, happy are those servants. This shall ye understand, that if the good man of the house knew what hour the thief would have come, he would surely have watched: and not suffer his house to be broken up. Be ye prepared therefore, for the son of man will come at a hour when ye think not."

But let us which are of the day be sober, armed with the breast plate of faith and love, and with hope of salvation as a helmet.

Behold, I come shortly. Hold that which thou hast, that no man take away thy crown.

"Behold I come as a thief. Happy is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments; Lest he be found naked, and men see his filthiness."

Let us be glad and rejoice and give honour to him: for the marriage of the lamb is come, and his wife made herself ready.

The servant that knew his master's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and yet did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whom much is given: of him shall be much required. And to whom men much commit, the more of him will they ask.

'Therefore thus will I handle thee again, O Israel: yea, even thus will I handle thee. Make thee ready then to meet thy God, O Israel.
