Sure I am, that thou wilt deliver me unto death: whereas a lodging is prepared for all men living.
For we must needs die, and perish as water spilt on the ground which cannot be gathered up again: and God will not take away the life, but find the means that the banished be not utterly expelled from him.
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by the means of sin; And so death went over all men, insomuch that all men sinned.
The days of our age are threescore years and ten: and though men be so strong that they come to fourscore years, yet is their strength then but labour and sorrow; so soon passeth it away, and we are gone.
Which of you, though he took thought therefore, could put one cubit unto his stature?
and yet cannot tell what shall happen tomorrow. For what thing is your life? It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff comfort me.
right dear in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
The ungodly is afraid of every peril; but the righteous hath a good hope even in death.
For Christ is to me life, and death is to me advantage.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, "Write, 'Blessed are the dead, which hereafter die in the Lord: Even so, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors; but their works shall follow them.'"
This said he. And after that he said unto them, "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth, but I go to wake him out of sleep." Then said his disciples, "Lord, if he sleep, then shall he do well enough." Howbeit, Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of the natural sleep.
And he went in and said unto them, "Why make ye this ado and weep? The maiden is not dead, but sleepeth."
Howbeit David, after he had in his time fulfilled the will of God, he slept, and was laid with his fathers, and saw corruption.
After that, he was seen of more than five hundred brethren at once: of which many remain unto this day, and many are fallen asleep.
And this say we unto you in the word of the Lord, that we which live and are remaining in the coming of the Lord, shall not come before they which sleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel, and trump of God. And the dead in Christ shall arise first: then shall we which live and remain, be caught up with them also in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Behold, I show a mystery unto you: we shall not all sleep: but we shall all be changed, and that in a moment, and in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall blow, and the dead shall rise incorruptible: And we shall be changed.
For the reward of sin is death: but eternal life is the gift of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
And so Saul died for his trespass that he trespassed against the LORD, in that he kept not the word of the LORD, and in that he asked counsel of a woman that wrought with a spirit,
Like as righteousness bringeth life; even so to cleave unto evil, bringeth death.
Jesus said to him, "Thou hast said. Nevertheless I say unto you, hereafter shall ye see the son of man sitting on the righthand of power, and come in the clouds of the sky."
And Jesus said, "I am. And ye shall see the son of man sit on the righthand of power, and come in the clouds of heaven."
which also said, "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come, even as ye have seen him go into heaven."
even so Christ was once offered to take away the sins of many, and unto them that look for him, shall he appear again, without sin, unto their salvation.
But of that day and hour knoweth no man: no not the angels of heaven, but my father only.
But of the day and the hour, knoweth no man: No, not the angels which are in heaven: neither the son himself, save the father only.
Behold, I send my messenger which shall prepare the way before me. And suddenly shall the Lord whom ye seek, come unto his temple, and the messenger of the covenant whom ye desire. Behold, he cometh saith the LORD Sabaoth.
Therefore be ye also ready, for in the hour ye think least on, in the same ye think he would not: will the son of man come.
Be ye prepared therefore, for the son of man will come at a hour when ye think not."
"Behold I come as a thief. Happy is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments; Lest he be found naked, and men see his filthiness."
For the son of man shall come in the glory of his father, with his angels, and then shall he reward every man according to his deeds.
I saw in a vision by night, and behold, there came one in the clouds of heaven like the Son of Man - which went unto the Ancient of Days, before whom they brought him. Then gave he him power and dignity regal, that all people, tribes and tongues should serve him. His power is an everlasting power, which shall never be put down: and his kingdom endureth uncorrupt.
"When the son of man shall cometh in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his glory and before him shall be gathered all nations. And he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth the sheep from the goats.
And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again: and receive you even unto myself, that where I am, there may ye be also.
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, which will lighten things that are hid in darkness: and open the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every man have praise of God.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel, and trump of God. And the dead in Christ shall arise first: then shall we which live and remain, be caught up with them also in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
And when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive an incorruptible crown of glory.
Dearly beloved, now are we the sons of God, and yet it doth not appear what we shall be. But we know that when it shall appear, we shall be like him. For we shall see him as he is.
And now babes, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence and not be made ashamed of him at his coming.
Watch, therefore, for ye know not when the master of the house will come: whether at even, or at midnight; whether at the cock crowing, or in the dawning:
Repent ye, therefore, and turn: that your sins may be done away when the time of refreshing cometh, which we shall have of the presence of the Lord, and when God shall send him, which before was preached unto you,
I give thee charge in the sight of God, which quickeneth all things, and before Jesus Christ, which under Pontius Pilate witnessed a good witnessing, that thou keep the commandment, and be without spot and unrebukable until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;
If all these things shall perish, what manner persons ought ye to be in holy conversation, and godliness:
Marvel not at this: that the hour shall come, in which all that are in the graves, shall hear his voice, and shall come forth: They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; And they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth, shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to perpetual shame and reproof.
and have hope towards God, that the same resurrection from death, which they themselves look for also, shall be both of just and unjust.
And this is the will of him that sent me: That every man which seeth the son, and believeth on him, have everlasting life. And I will raise him up at the last day."
Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth on me; Yea though he were dead, yet shall he live:
For we know that he which raised up the Lord Jesus, shall raise up us, also, by the means of Jesus, and shall set us with you;
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel, and trump of God. And the dead in Christ shall arise first:
and shall come forth: They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; And they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
And these shall go into everlasting pain: And the righteous into life eternal.
So is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, and riseth in incorruption. It is sown in dishonour, and riseth in honour. It is sown in weakness, and riseth in power. It is sown a natural body, and riseth a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body.
This say I brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Neither doth corruption inherit uncorruption. For this corruptible must put on incorruptibility: and this mortal must put on immortality.
And as it is appointed unto men that they shall once die, and then cometh the judgment,
And I saw a great white seat and him that sat on it, from whose face fled away both the earth and heaven, and their place was no more found. And I saw the dead, both great and small, stand before God: And the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged of those things which were written in the books according to their deeds.
Neither judgeth the father any man: but hath committed all judgment unto the son,
And he commanded unto us to preach unto the people and testify, that it is he that is ordained of God, a judge of quick and dead.
because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world according to righteousness, by that man, whom he hath appointed, and hath offered faith to all men, after that he had raised him from death."
and am alive, and was dead. And behold I am alive for evermore, and have the keys of hell and of death.
He that refuseth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him. The words that I have spoken, they shall judge him in the last day.
and to you which are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall show himself from heaven, with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, rendering vengeance unto them that know not God, and to them that obey not unto the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,
But the heavens verily and earth which are now, are kept by the same word in store, and reserved unto fire, against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.
Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my words, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life: and shall not come into damnation, but is escaped from death unto life.
He that believeth on him shall not be condemned. But he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he believeth not in the name of the only son of God.
There is, then, no damnation to them which are in Christ Jesus: which walk not after the flesh but after the spirit: For the law of the spirit, that bringeth life through Jesus Christ, hath delivered me from the law of sin, and death:
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every man may receive the works of his body according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
