And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may learn what the will of God is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect.

As the earthy man was, such also are the earthy; and as the heavenly man is, such also shall the heavenly be. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. But this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I declare to you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible body must put on incorruptibility; and this mortal body must put on immortality. And when this corruptible body shall have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal body shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is thy sting? Hades, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my be loved brethren, be firm, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord; for you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

So, then, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

No trial has come upon you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tried more than you are able to bear; but he will, with the trial, make a way to escape, so that you be able to bear up under it.

These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you shall have affliction, but be of good courage; I have overcome the world.

I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. So also do you count yourselves as dead indeed to sin, but as living to God, in Christ Jesus our Lord.

and he was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his clothing was white as the light. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him.
