'Name' in the Bible

But let all who take refuge in You rejoice;let them shout for joy forever.May You shelter them,and may those who love Your name boast about You.

I will thank the Lord for His righteousness;I will sing about the name of Yahweh the Most High.

Let us shout for joy at your victoryand lift the banner in the name of our God.May Yahweh fulfill all your requests.

Some take pride in chariots, and others in horses,but we take pride in the name of Yahweh our God.

I will proclaim Your name to my brothers;I will praise You in the congregation.

Because of Your name, Yahweh,forgive my sin, for it is great.

Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due His name;worship Yahwehin the splendor of His holiness.

Sing to Yahweh, you His faithful ones,and praise His holy name.

For You are my rock and my fortress;You lead and guide mebecause of Your name.

For our hearts rejoice in Himbecause we trust in His holy name.

Proclaim Yahweh’s greatness with me;let us exalt His name together.

Through You we drive back our foes;through Your name we trample our enemies.

If we had forgotten the name of our Godand spread out our hands to a foreign god,

I will cause your name to be remembered for all generations;therefore the peoples will praise you forever and ever.

Sing to God! Sing praises to His name.Exalt Him who rides on the clouds —His name is Yahweh—and rejoice before Him.

I will praise God’s name with songand exalt Him with thanksgiving.

The descendants of His servants will inherit it,and those who love His name will live in it.

May his name endure forever;as long as the sun shines,may his fame increase.May all nations be blessed by himand call him blessed.

May His glorious name be praised forever;the whole earth is filled with His glory.Amen and amen.

They set Your sanctuary on fire;they utterly desecratedthe dwelling place of Your name.

God, how long will the enemy mock?Will the foe insult Your name forever?

Remember this: the enemy has mocked Yahweh,and a foolish people has insulted Your name.

Do not let the oppressed turn away in shame;let the poor and needy praise Your name.

Pour out Your wrath on the nationsthat don’t acknowledge You,on the kingdoms that don’t call on Your name,

God of our salvation, help us—for the glory of Your name.Deliver us and atone for our sins,because of Your name.

Then we will not turn away from You;revive us, and we will call on Your name.

They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nationso that Israel’s name will no longer be remembered.”

Cover their faces with shameso that they will seek Your name Yahweh.

May they know that You alone—whose name is Yahweh—are the Most High over all the earth.

All the nations You have madewill come and bow down before You, Lord,and will honor Your name.

Teach me Your way, Yahweh,and I will live by Your truth.Give me an undivided mind to fear Your name.

I will praise You with all my heart, Lord my God,and will honor Your name forever.

North and south—You created them.Tabor and Hermon shout for joy at Your name.

They rejoice in Your name all day long,and they are exalted by Your righteousness.

My faithfulness and love will be with him,and through My namehis horn will be exalted.

Because he is lovingly devoted to Me,I will deliver him;I will protect him because he knows My name.

Sing to Yahweh, praise His name;proclaim His salvation from day to day.

Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name;bring an offering and enter His courts.

Be glad in Yahweh, you righteous ones,and praise His holy name.

Let them praise Your greatand awe-inspiring name.He is holy.

Moses and Aaron were among His priests;Samuel also was among those calling on His name.They called to Yahweh and He answered them.

Enter His gates with thanksgivingand His courts with praise.Give thanks to Him and praise His name.

Then the nations will fear the name of Yahweh,and all the kings of the earth Your glory,

so that they might declarethe name of Yahweh in Zionand His praise in Jerusalem,

Davidic.My soul, praise Yahweh,and all that is within me, praise His holy name.

Give thanks to Yahweh, call on His name;proclaim His deeds among the peoples.

Honor His holy name;let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.

Yet He saved them because of His name,to make His power known.

Save us, Yahweh our God,and gather us from the nations,so that we may give thanks to Your holy nameand rejoice in Your praise.

Let the line of his descendants be cut off;let their name be blotted out in the next generation.

But You, Yahweh my Lord,deal kindly with me because of Your name;deliver me because of the goodness of Your faithful love.

He has sent redemption to His people.He has ordained His covenant forever.His name is holy and awe-inspiring.

Hallelujah!Give praise, servants of Yahweh;praise the name of Yahweh.

Let the name of Yahweh be praisedboth now and forever.

All the nations surrounded me;in the name of Yahweh I destroyed them.

They surrounded me like bees;they were extinguished like a fire among thorns;in the name of Yahweh I destroyed them.

He who comes in the nameof the Lord is blessed.From the house of the Lord we bless you.

Yahweh, I remember Your name in the night,and I obey Your instruction.

Turn to me and be gracious to me,as is Your practice toward those who love Your name.

where the tribes, Yahweh’s tribes, go upto give thanks to the name of Yahweh.(This is an ordinance for Israel.)

Our help is in the name of Yahweh,the Maker of heaven and earth.

Then none who pass by will say,“May the Lord’s blessing be on you.”We bless you in the name of Yahweh.

Praise Yahweh, for Yahweh is good;sing praise to His name, for it is delightful.

Yahweh, Your name endures forever,Your reputation, Yahweh,through all generations.

I will bow down toward Your holy templeand give thanks to Your namefor Your constant love and truth.You have exalted Your nameand Your promise above everything else.

Surely the righteous will praise Your name;the upright will live in Your presence.

Free me from prisonso that I can praise Your name.The righteous will gather around mebecause You deal generously with me.
