These people are complainers and faultfinders, following their own desires. They say arrogant things and flatter people in order to take advantage of them.

These witnesses have authority to close the heavens in order to keep rain from falling while they are prophesying. They also have authority to turn bodies of water into blood and to strike the earth with any plague, as often as they desire.

From its mouth the serpent spewed water like a river behind the woman in order to sweep her away with the flood.

The second beast was allowed to impart life to the image of the first beast so that the image of the beast could talk and order the execution of those who would not worship the image of the beast.
