1 Corinthians 12 Parallel Bible (King James 2000)

Varieties Of Spiritual Gifts

11 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

11 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware.

11 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

11 About matters of the spirit: brothers, I do not want you to be unaware.

11 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I don't want you to be ignorant.

22 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as you were led.

22 You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led.

22 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

22 You know how, when you were pagans, you were led to dumb idols-being led astray.

22 You know that when you were unbelievers, you were enticed and led astray to worship idols that couldn't even speak.

33 Therefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

33 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

33 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

33 Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

33 For this reason I want you to be aware that no one who is speaking by God's Spirit can say, "Jesus is cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

44 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

44 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.

44 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

44 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.

44 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit,

55 And there are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.

55 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.

55 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

55 There are different ministries, but the same Lord.

55 and there are varieties of ministries, but the same Lord.

66 And there are diversities of workings, but it is the same God who works all in all.

66 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.

66 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

66 And there are different activities, but the same God is active in everyone and everything.

66 There are varieties of results, but it is the same God who produces all the results in everyone.

77 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man for profit.

77 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

77 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

77 A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:

77 To each person has been given the ability to manifest the Spirit for the common good.

88 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

88 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;

88 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

88 to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,

88 To one has been given a message of wisdom by the Spirit; to another the ability to speak with knowledge according to the same Spirit;

99 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

99 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

99 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

99 to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

99 to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit;

1010 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another various kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

1010 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.

1010 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

1010 to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages.

1010 to another miraculous results; to another prophecy; to another the ability to distinguish between spirits; to another various kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages.

1111 But in all these works that one and same Spirit, dividing to every man individually as he will.

1111 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

1111 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

1111 But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each one as He wills.

1111 But one and the same Spirit produces all these results and gives what he wants to each person.

Unity In The Midst Of Diversity

1212 For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

1212 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.

1212 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

1212 For as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body-so also is Christ.

1212 For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, form a single body, so it is with the Messiah.

1313 For by one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

1313 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

1313 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

1313 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free-and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

1313 For by one Spirit all of us Jews and Greeks, slaves and free were baptized into one body and were all privileged to drink from one Spirit.

1414 For the body is not one member, but many.

1414 For the body is not one member, but many.

1414 For the body is not one member, but many.

1414 So the body is not one part but many.

1414 For the body does not consist of only one part, but of many.

1515 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1515 If the foot says, "Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.

1515 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1515 If the foot should say, "Because I'm not a hand, I don't belong to the body," in spite of this it still belongs to the body.

1515 If the foot says, "Since I'm not a hand, I'm not part of the body," that does not make it any less a part of the body, does it?

1616 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1616 And if the ear says, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.

1616 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1616 And if the ear should say, "Because I'm not an eye, I don't belong to the body," in spite of this it still belongs to the body.

1616 And if the ear says, "Since I'm not an eye, I'm not part of the body," that does not make it any less a part of the body, does it?

1717 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?

1717 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?

1717 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

1717 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were an ear, where would be the sense of smell?

1717 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?

1818 But now has God set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.

1818 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.

1818 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

1818 But now God has placed the parts, each one of them, in the body just as He wanted.

1818 But now God has arranged the parts, every one of them, in the body according to his plan.

1919 And if they were all one member, where would be the body?

1919 If they were all one member, where would the body be?

1919 And if they were all one member, where were the body?

1919 And if they were all the same part, where would the body be?

1919 Now if all of it were one part, there wouldn't be a body, would there?

2020 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

2020 But now there are many members, but one body.

2020 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

2020 Now there are many parts, yet one body.

2020 So there are many parts, but one body.

2121 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

2121 And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; or again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."

2121 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

2121 So the eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" nor again the head to the feet, "I don't need you!"

2121 The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you," or the head to the feet, "I don't need you."

2222 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

2222 On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;

2222 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

2222 On the contrary, all the more, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary.

2222 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are in fact indispensable,

2323 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our less respectable parts have greater respect.

2323 and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable,

2323 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

2323 And those parts of the body that we think to be less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unpresentable parts have a better presentation.

2323 and the parts of the body that we think are less honorable are treated with special honor, and we make our less attractive parts more attractive.

2424 For our more respectable parts have no need: but God has arranged the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked:

2424 whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked,

2424 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

2424 But our presentable parts have no need [of clothing]. Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable,

2424 However, our attractive parts don't need this. But God has put the body together and has given special honor to the parts that lack it,

2525 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

2525 so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.

2525 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

2525 so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other.

2525 so that there might be no disharmony in the body, but that its parts should have the same concern for each other.

2626 And whether one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.

2626 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

2626 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

2626 So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

2626 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is praised, every part rejoices with it.

2727 Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

2727 Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it.

2727 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

2727 Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.

2727 Now you are the Messiah's body and individual parts of it.

2828 And God has set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helpers, administrators, various kinds of tongues.

2828 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues.

2828 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

2828 And God has placed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, next, miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, managing, various kinds of languages.

2828 God has appointed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then those who perform miracles, those who have gifts of healing, those who help others, administrators, and those who speak various kinds of languages.

2929 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

2929 All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they?

2929 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

2929 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do miracles?

2929 Not all are apostles, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? Not all are teachers, are they? Not all perform miracles, do they?

3030 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

3030 All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?

3030 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

3030 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in languages? Do all interpret?

3030 Not all have the gift of healing, do they? Not all speak in foreign languages, do they? Not all interpret, do they?

3131 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet I show unto you a more excellent way.

3131 But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way.

3131 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

3131 But desire the greater gifts. And I will show you an even better way.

3131 Keep on desiring the better gifts. And now I will show you the best way of all.
