Detailed Stipulations: Purity And Unity

¹⁵ “A single witness shall not appear in a trial against a man for any wrong or any sin which he has committed; [only] on the testimony or evidence of two or three witnesses shall a charge be confirmed. ¹⁶ If a malicious witness rises up against a man to [falsely] accuse him of wrongdoing, ¹⁷ then both parties to the controversy shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges who will be in office at that time.

False Witness

Psalm 27:12

Do not give me up to the will of my adversaries,
For false witnesses have come against me;
They breathe out violence.

Psalm 35:11

Malicious witnesses rise up;
They ask me of things that I do not know.

Exodus 23:1-7

“You shall not give a false report; you shall not join hands with the wicked to be a malicious witness [promoting wrong and violence].

1 Kings 21:10-13
