Jacob Fears Esau

⁴ And he commanded them, saying, "See that ye speak after this manner to my LORD Esau, 'thy servant, Jacob, sayeth thus: I have sojourned and been a stranger with Laban unto this time; ⁵ and have gotten oxen, asses and sheep, menservants and womenservants, and have sent to show it my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.'" ⁶ And the messengers came again to Jacob, saying, "We came unto thy brother Esau, and he cometh against thee; and four hundred men with him."

Genesis 33:8

And he said, "What meanest thou with all the droves which I met?" And he answered, "To find grace in the sight of my lord."

Genesis 33:15

And Esau said, "Let me yet leave some of my folk with thee." And he said, "What needeth it? Let me find grace in the sight of my lord."
