Jacob And His Offspring Go To Egypt
1 And Israel will remove and all which is to him, and he will come to the well of the oath, and he will sacrifice sacrifices to the God of his father Isaak.
1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

2 And God will speak to Israel in a vision of the night, and he will say, Jacob! Jacob! and he will say, Behold me.
2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

3 And he will say, I am God, the God of thy father: thou shalt not fear going down to Egypt; for I will there make thee into a great nation.

5 And Jacob will rise up from the well of the oath: and the sons of Israel will take up Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh sent to take him.
5 And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

8 And these the names of the sons of Israel having come to Egypt. Jacob and his sons: the first born of Jacob, Reuben.

27 And the sons of Joseph which were born to him in Egypt, two souls: to the house of Jacob coming to Egypt, seventy.
27 And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.

Jacob Arrives In Egypt
28 And he sent Judah before him to Joseph to cast his face to Goshen, and they came to the land of Goshen.
28 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

29 And Joseph will harness his chariot, and will go up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen; and he will be seen to him: and he will fall upon his neck, and will yet weep upon his neck
29 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

29 Joseph prepared his chariot and went to meet his father Israel in Goshen. As soon as Jacob appeared in his presence, he embraced him and wept for a long time as he held on to him.
30 And Israel will say to Joseph, Now will I die, after I saw thy face, because thou art yet living.
30 And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
30 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”
30 Then Israel said to Joseph, “At last I can die, now that I have seen your face and know you are still alive!”
30 "Now let me die," Israel told Joseph, "since I've seen your face and confirmed that you're still alive!"
31 And Joseph will say to his brethren, and to his father's house, I will go up and announce to Pharaoh, and say to him, My brethren and my father's house which were in the land of Canaan, came to me.
31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
31 Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “(Z)I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father’s household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me;

31 But Joseph addressed his brothers and his father's household and told them, "I'll go up and tell Pharaoh that my brothers and my father's household have arrived from Canaan to be with me.
32 And the men are shepherds of sheep, for they were men of cattle; and they brought their sheep and their cattle, and all which is to them.
32 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.

33 And it will be when Pharaoh shall call to you and say, What your work?
33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
33 When Pharaoh addresses you and asks, ‘What is your occupation?’

34 And saying, Thy servants were men of cattle from our childhood and till now; also we, also our fathers; that ye shall dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd of sheep is an abomination to the Egyptians.
34 That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
34 you shall say, ‘Your servants have been (z)(AB)keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,’ that you may (aa)live in the land of (AC)Goshen; for every shepherd is (ab)(AD)loathsome to the Egyptians.”
34 you are to say, ‘Your servants, both we and our fathers, have raised livestock(j) from our youth until now.’ Then you will be allowed to settle in the land of Goshen, since all shepherds are abhorrent to Egyptians.”(V)
34 you are to tell him, "Your servants have been taking care of livestock since we were youths. We and our ancestors have taken care of livestock.' That way, you'll be able to live in the Goshen territory, since shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians."
