Haggai 1:14

The People Obey The Lord

¹³ Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, spoke the Lord's word to the people: "I am with you!" says the Lord. ¹⁴ So the Lord energized and encouraged Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, and the whole remnant of the people. They came and worked on the temple of their God, the Lord who rules over all. ¹⁵ This took place on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month of King Darius' second year.

Ezra 1:1

In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, in order to fulfill the Lord's message spoken through Jeremiah, the Lord stirred the mind of King Cyrus of Persia. He disseminated a proclamation throughout his entire kingdom, announcing in a written edict the following:

Ezra 5:8

Let it be known to the king that we have gone to the province of Judah, to the temple of the great God. It is being built with large stones, and timbers are being placed in the walls. This work is being done with all diligence and is prospering in their hands.

Nehemiah 4:6

So we rebuilt the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height. The people were enthusiastic in their work.

Haggai 1:12

Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, along with the whole remnant of the people, obeyed the Lord their God. They responded favorably to the message of the prophet Haggai, who spoke just as the Lord their God had instructed him, and the people began to respect the Lord.

Haggai 2:2

"Ask the following questions to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, and the remnant of the people:
