Then I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, so that you will exemplify divine blessing.

But I will execute judgment on the nation that they will serve. Afterward they will come out with many possessions.

But if God is quiet, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, then who can see him? Yet he is over the individual and the nation alike,

Vindicate me, O God! Fight for me against an ungodly nation! Deliver me from deceitful and evil men!

The Lord says, "Listen, nation of Israel! I am about to bring a nation from far away to attack you. It will be a nation that was founded long ago and has lasted for a long time. It will be a nation whose language you will not know. Its people will speak words that you will not be able to understand.

I will certainly punish them for doing such things!" says the Lord. "I will certainly bring retribution on such a nation as this!

"This is what the Lord says: 'Beware! An army is coming from a land in the north. A mighty nation is stirring into action in faraway parts of the earth.
