Yahweh's People Vindicated

¹³ O LORD our God, other lords besides you have ruled over us, but your name alone we bring to remembrance. ¹⁴ The dead will not live, the departed spirits will not rise;
Therefore You have punished and destroyed them,
And You have wiped out all remembrance of them.
¹⁵ But you have increased the nation, O LORD, you have increased the nation; you are glorified; you have enlarged all the borders of the land.

For This Cause

Isaiah 8:19

And when they say to you, "Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter," should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?
