Isaiah 7:14

The Immanuel Prophecy

¹³ Isaiah said: Hear this you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also? ¹⁴ Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. ¹⁵ He will eat butter and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right.

Matthew 1:23

The virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which means: God (God-like one) is with us. (John 1:18)

Isaiah 8:8

It will sweep through Judah. It will overflow and pass through. It will be neck-high. Its outspread wings will extend over your entire country, O Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity (hostility) (hatred) between you and the woman, and between your offspring (seed) and hers. He will bruise (overwhelm) (crush) you in the head, and you will bruise (overwhelm) (crush) him in the heel. (Romans 16:20)

Jeremiah 31:22

How long will you go here and there, O faithless daughter? For Jehovah has created a new thing in the earth. A woman will protect a man.

Adam had sexual intercourse with his wife Eve. She became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said: With the help of Jehovah I have brought forth a man.

Genesis 4:25

Adam had intercourse with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth. She said: God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him.

Genesis 16:11

Jehovah's angel also said: You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael (means: God hears). Jehovah has heard of your misery.

Genesis 29:32

Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, because she said: Certainly, Jehovah has seen my misery. Now my husband will love me!

Genesis 30:6

Rachel named him Dan, because she said: God has answered my prayers. He has vindicated me and given me a son.

Genesis 30:8

Rachel said: I have struggled hard with my sister, and I have won! So she named the boy Naphtali.

1 Samuel 1:20

So it was that she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel. She explained: I asked Jehovah for him.

1 Samuel 4:21

She called the boy Ichabod (No Glory), saying: Israel's glory is gone, because the Ark of God had been captured and because her father-in-law and her husband died.

Isaiah 8:10

Make plans for battle, but they will never succeed. Give orders, but they will not be carried out, because God is with us!
