Then Haggai gave Jehovah's message to the people: I am with you!

Be determined and with good courage. Do not be afraid of them. Your God, Jehovah, will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.

May Jehovah our God be with us as he was with our ancestors. May he not leave us or abandon us.

The virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which means: God (God-like one) is with us. (John 1:18)

Therefore Jehovah will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel (God with us).

It will sweep through Judah. It will overflow and pass through. It will be neck-high. Its outspread wings will extend over your entire country, O Immanuel.

Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.

Teach them to observe all the things I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

I will not leave you desolate. I will come to you.

I am with you and no man will harm you. I have many people in this city.

I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another helper, that he [the Father] may be with you forever. It is the Spirit of the truth. The world cannot receive it. The world does not see or know it. You know it because it lives with you and will be with you.

I speak these things while being present with you. The Father will send a helper in my name, the Holy Spirit, which (Greek: hos he ho) (which) (that one) will teach you all things and bring to your memory all that I said to you. Peace I leave with you! My peace I give to you. I do not give as the world gives to you. Do not let your heart be troubled or full of fear.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is for your benefit that I go away. For if I do not go away the helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send it to you. (Greek: autos: it)

Jesus said: Truly I tell you, a man that has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the sake of the good news, will receive a hundred times as much now in this time, and in the age to come everlasting life.

Everyone who has given up houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or child, or land, for my name, will receive many times as much, and have everlasting life.

Jesus said: Truly I tell you, no man has left house, or wife, or brother, or parents, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive manifold more now and in the age to come everlasting life.

You must serve Jehovah your God! I will bless your food and water. I will take away all sickness from among you.

I will also give you what you did not ask for. All your life you will have wealth and honor, more than that of any other king.

For this reason I will give you wisdom and knowledge. And in addition, I will give you more wealth, treasure, and fame than any king has ever had before or will ever have again.

He will not allow your foot to slip. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Jehovah is your keeper. Jehovah is your shade on your right hand.read more.
The sun will not strike you by day. The moon will not strike you by night. Jehovah will protect you from all evil. He will protect (preserve) you. May Jehovah guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

Seek (desire) (require) (serve) first the kingdom of God and his righteousness [continuously] and all these things will be added to you.

Bodily exercise is profitable for a little. However, godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of the life that is to come.

You receive your salvation as the outcome of your faith.

You have heard the word of the truth in Christ. It is the good news about your salvation. You also believed and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a guarantee that we will receive our inheritance. This assures us that God will set us free to the praise of his glory.

We also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption and the release from our bodies by ransom.

He also sealed us, and gave us the guarantee of the Spirit in our hearts.

He that prepared us for this very purpose is God. He gave the Spirit to us as a guarantee (pledge) (security).

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places through Christ.

You have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads (thousands of thousands) of angels, to the general assembly and congregation of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just (righteous) (holy) men made perfect (mature) (having all needed qualities). You have come to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks in a better way than the blood of Abel.

Godliness with contentment is great gain. We brought nothing into the world and we can carry nothing out. We should be content with having food and covering.

Jesus said: Be careful, do not covet, for life does not come from your possessions. He spoke an illustration to them: The land of a rich man produced well. He reasoned to himself, what will I do? I have nowhere to store my fruits?read more.
He said: I would pull down my barns and build larger barns. I will store all my grain and goods there. I will say to my self: 'You have many possessions saved for many years. Take it easy and eat, drink and be merry.' But God said to him: 'You fool this night you will give up your life. Then who will have all these things you accumulated?'

Instead there was joy and festivity, killing oxen and slaughtering sheep, eating meat and drinking wine. Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.

If I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage was it to me if the dead do not rise? Let us eat and drink for tomorrow we die.

Their end is destruction. Their god is their belly. Their glory is in their shame. They set their mind on earthly things.

Those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts. These draw men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some by longing for it have been led away from the faith. They have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Come now, you that say, Today or tomorrow we will go to this city, and spend a year there, and trade, and make profit. You do not know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? For you are a vapor (puff of air) that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. You should say, If God wills, we should both live, and do this or that.read more.
You glory in your conceit. Such glory is evil. He that knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Command those who are rich in this present system not to be high-minded (arrogant), not to have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

For he said: At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation!

Know this and consider it in your heart today: JEHOVAH IS GOD in heaven above, and on the earth beneath: THERE IS NO ONE ELSE! You must keep the regulations and commandments I commanded you today. Then all will go well with you and with your children after you. You may prolong your days on the earth that Jehovah your God gives you for all time.

Moses called all the people of Israel, and said: Hear, O Israel, the regulations and laws I declare to you today. Learn them and obey them!

So obey the commandments, laws, and judgments I give you today.

Obey Jehovah's commandments and his statutes I am commanding you today for your good!

I set before you today life and good, death and evil. I command you today to Love Jehovah your God, follow his directions, and obey his commandments, laws, and rules. Then you will live, your population will increase, and Jehovah your God will bless you in the land that you are about to enter and possess.

For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today hear His voice! Do not harden your hearts, as in the day of strife, as in the day of testing in the wilderness.

Seek Jehovah while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.

I said: Plow new ground for yourselves, plant righteousness, and reap the blessings that your devotion to me will produce. It is time for you to turn to me, Jehovah, and I will come and pour out righteousness on you.

The Holy Spirit says: Today if you will hear his voice,

Be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise. Make the most of your time (redeem or ransom back time), because the days are evil.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.

Behave with wisdom toward those who are outside, making the most of the time.
