The Prologue To John's Gospel

³ Through him all things were made, and apart from him nothing was made that has been made. ⁴ In him was life, and that life brought light to humanity. ⁵ And the light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness has never put it out.

John 5:26

Just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted the Son to have life in himself,
