Day Of Atonement Offerings

² The Lord said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron that he may not come whenever he wants into the holy place behind the veil in front of the mercy seat on the ark or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud above the mercy seat. ³ “Aaron is to enter the most holy place in this way: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. ⁴ He is to wear a holy linen tunic, and linen undergarments are to be on his body. He must tie a linen sash around him and wrap his head with a linen turban. These are holy garments; he must bathe his body with water before he wears them.

Leviticus 4:3

“If the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, he is to present to the Lord a young, unblemished bull as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.

Leviticus 1:10

“But if his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from sheep or goats, he is to present an unblemished male.

Leviticus 8:18

Then he presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

Hebrews 9:7

But the high priest alone enters the second room, and he does that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.

Leviticus 1:3
