'Child' in the Bible

Adam knew his wife intimately again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, for [she said,] "God has given me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him."

Adam was 130 years old when he fathered [a child] in his likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth.

Just then a man from the crowd cried out, "Teacher, I beg You to look at my son, because he's my only [child].

But Jesus, knowing the thoughts of their hearts, took a little child and had him stand next to Him.

He told them, "Whoever welcomes this little child in My name welcomes Me. And whoever welcomes Me welcomes Him who sent Me. For whoever is least among you-this one is great."

I assure you: Whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

When a woman is in labor she has pain because her time has come. But when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the suffering because of the joy that a person has been born into the world.

But just as then the child born according to the flesh persecuted the one born according to the Spirit, so also now.

Timothy, my child, I am giving you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies previously made about you, so that by them you may strongly engage in battle,

To Timothy, my dearly loved child. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

To Titus, my true child in our common faith. Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

appeal to you for my child, whom I fathered while in chains-Onesimus.
