Burnt Offering Regulations: Animal From The Herd

² “Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When any of you brings an offering to the Lord from the livestock, you may bring your offering from the herd or the flock. ³ “If his gift is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to bring an unblemished male. He must bring it to the entrance to the tent of meeting so that he may be accepted by the Lord. ⁴ He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering so it can be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him.

Exodus 12:5

You must have an unblemished animal, a year-old male; you may take it from either the sheep or the goats.

Deuteronomy 15:21

But if there is a defect in the animal, if it is lame or blind or has any serious defect, you must not sacrifice it to the Lord your God.

Numbers 23:3

Balaam said to Balak, “Stay here by your burnt offering while I am gone. Maybe the Lord will meet with me. I will tell you whatever He reveals to me.” So he went to a barren hill.

There is no magic curse against Jacob
and no divination against Israel.
It will now be said about Jacob and Israel,
“What great things God has done!”

Numbers 23:27

Again Balak said to Balaam, “Please come. I will take you to another place. Maybe it will be agreeable to God that you can put a curse on them for me there.”

Numbers 23:30

So Balak did as Balaam said and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

Numbers 29:8-11

Present a burnt offering to the Lord, a pleasing aroma: one young bull, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old. All your animals are to be unblemished.
