But while they were all amazed at everything Jesus was doing, He said to His disciples, 44 "Pay close attention to what I am saying, for the Son of man will be handed over to [evil] men." 45 But they did not understand what He was talking about, for it was hidden from them, so that they would not understand its meaning.
