52 And he said to them, Because of this every scholar who has been instructed in the kingdom of the heavens is like a man, a house-ruler, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.
52 And (aa)Jesus said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”
52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
52 “Therefore,” He said to them, “every student of Scripture(n) instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who brings out of his storeroom what is new and what is old.”(AR)
52 Then he told them, "That is why every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom from heaven is like the master of a household who brings both new and old things out of his treasure chest."
54 And having come into his fatherland he taught them in their synagogue, so as for them to be astonished, and say, From where is this wisdom and powers in this man?
54 (BA)He came to (ab)His hometown and (BB)began teaching them in their synagogue, so that (BC)they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these (ac)miraculous powers?
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
54 He went to His hometown(AS) and began to teach them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “How did this wisdom and these miracles come to Him?(AT)
54 He went to his hometown and began teaching the people in their synagogue in such a way that they were amazed and asked, "Where did this man get this wisdom and these miracles?
55 Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James and Joses and Simon and Judas?

55 This is the builder's son, isn't it? His mother is named Mary, isn't she? His brothers are James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas, aren't they?
56 And his sisters, are they not all near us? From where then are all these things in this man?

57 And they were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor, except in his fatherland, and in his house.
57 And they took (BG)offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “(BH)A prophet is not without honor except in his (ad)hometown and in his own household.”
