2 Just then some people brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Have courage, son! Your sins are forgiven."
2 (B)And they brought to Him a (C)paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, “(D)Take courage, (a)son; (E)your sins are forgiven.”
2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
2 Just then(B) some men(a) brought to Him a paralytic lying on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, “Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.”(C)
2 All at once some people brought him a paralyzed man lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he told the paralyzed man, "Be courageous, son! Your sins are forgiven."
4 When Jesus saw their reaction he said, "Why do you respond with evil in your hearts?
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
4 But perceiving their thoughts,(E) Jesus said, “Why are you thinking evil things in your hearts?(b)
4 But Jesus, knowing what they were thinking, replied, "Why do you have such evil thoughts in your hearts?
5 Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven' or to say, 'Stand up and walk'?
5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
5 For which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?

6 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" -- then he said to the paralytic -- "Stand up, take your stretcher, and go home."

8 When the crowd saw this, they were afraid and honored God who had given such authority to men.

9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax booth. "Follow me," he said to him. And he got up and followed him.

9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

14 Then John's disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don't fast?"

14 Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

15 Jesus said to them, "The wedding guests cannot mourn while the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.
15 And Jesus said to them, “The (j)attendants of the bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.
15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

18 As he was saying these things, a ruler came, bowed low before him, and said, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and she will live."
18 (U)While He was saying these things to them, (m)a synagogue (n)official came and (o)(V)bowed down before Him, and said, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.”
18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
18 As He was telling them these things,(N) suddenly one of the leaders(k) came and knelt down before Him, saying, “My daughter is near death,(l) but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.”(O)
18 While Jesus was telling them these things, an official came up and fell down before him. "My daughter has just died," he said. "But come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."
20 But a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.
