Nehemiah's Prayer

⁶ let Your eyes be open and Your ears be attentive to hear Your servant’s prayer that I now pray to You day and night for Your servants, the Israelites. I confess the sins we have committed against You. Both I and my father’s house have sinned. ⁷ We have acted corruptly toward You and have not kept the commands, statutes, and ordinances You gave Your servant Moses. ⁸ Please remember what You commanded Your servant Moses: “If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the peoples.

These are the commands the Lord gave Moses for the Israelites on Mount Sinai.

Deuteronomy 4:1

Nehemiah 9:29-35

You warned them to turn back to Your law,

which a person will live by if he does them.

stiffened their necks, and would not obey.

Daniel 9:5-6

in all their actions.

Malachi 4:4

Revelation 19:2

because His judgments are true and righteous,
because He has judged the notorious prostitute
who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality;
and He has avenged the blood of His slaves
that was on her hands.
