'Judgments' in the Bible

“I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night and strike every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. I am Yahweh; I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt.

and keep your obligation to the Lord your God to walk in His ways and to keep His statutes, commands, ordinances, and decrees. This is written in the law of Moses, so that you will have success in everything you do and wherever you turn,

so that He causes us to be devoted to Him, to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commands, statutes, and ordinances, which He commanded our ancestors.

For they have abandoned Me; they have bowed the knee to Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, to Chemosh, the god of Moab, and to Milcom, the god of the Ammonites. They have not walked in My ways to do what is right in My eyes and to carry out My statutes and My judgments as his father David did.

Remember the wonderful works He has done,His wonders, and the judgments He has pronounced,

He is the Lord our God;His judgments govern the whole earth.

Jehoshaphat also appointed in Jerusalem some of the Levites and priests and some of the heads of the Israelite families for deciding the Lord’s will and for settling disputes of the residents of Jerusalem.

for every dispute that comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities—whether it regards differences of bloodguilt, law, commandment, statutes, or judgments—you are to warn them, so they will not incur guilt before the Lord and wrath will not come on you and your brothers. Do this, and you will not incur guilt.

I will never again remove the feet of the Israelites from the land where I stationed your ancestors, if only they will be careful to do all that I have commanded them through Moses—all the law, statutes, and judgments.”

His ways are always secure;Your lofty judgments are beyond his sight;he scoffs at all his adversaries.

Your righteousness is like the highest mountains;Your judgments, like the deepest sea.Lord, You preserve man and beast.

Mount Zion is glad.The towns of Judah rejoicebecause of Your judgments.

Zion hears and is glad,and the towns of Judah rejoicebecause of Your judgments, Lord.

Remember the wonderful works He has done,His wonders, and the judgments He has pronounced,

He is the Lord our God;His judgments govern the whole earth.

I will praise You with a sincere heartwhen I learn Your righteous judgments.

Turn away the disgrace I dread;indeed, Your judgments are good.

Lord, I remember Your judgments from long agoand find comfort.

I rise at midnight to thank Youfor Your righteous judgments.

I know, Lord, that Your judgments are justand that You have afflicted me fairly.

They stand today in accordance with Your judgments,for all things are Your servants.

I have not turned from Your judgments,for You Yourself have instructed me.

I have solemnly swornto keep Your righteous judgments.

Lord, please accept my willing offerings of praise,and teach me Your judgments.

I tremble in awe of You;I fear Your judgments.

Your compassions are many, Lord;give me life according to Your judgments.

The entirety of Your word is truth,and all Your righteous judgments endure forever.

I praise You seven times a dayfor Your righteous judgments.

Let me live, and I will praise You;may Your judgments help me.

He declares His word to Jacob,His statutes and judgments to Israel.

He has not done this for any nation;they do not know His judgments.Hallelujah!

Judgments are prepared for mockers,and beatings for the backs of fools. >

Yes, Yahweh, we wait for Youin the path of Your judgments.Our desire is for Your name and renown.

I long for You in the night;yes, my spirit within me diligently seeks You,for when Your judgments are in the land,the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

These also stagger because of wineand stumble under the influence of beer:priest and prophet stagger because of beer,they are confused by wine.They stumble because of beer,they are muddled in their visions,they stumble in their judgments.

They seek Me day after dayand delight to know My ways,like a nation that does what is rightand does not abandon the justice of their God.They ask Me for righteous judgments;they delight in the nearness of God.”

“I will pronounce My judgments against them for all the evil they did when they abandoned Me to burn incense to other gods and to worship the works of their own hands.

a wind too strong for this comes at My call. Now I will also pronounce judgments against them.’”

therefore, this is what the Lord God says: See, I am against you, Jerusalem, and I will execute judgments within you in the sight of the nations.

As a result, fathers will eat their sons within Jerusalem, and sons will eat their fathers. I will execute judgments against you and scatter all your survivors to every direction of the wind.

So you will be a disgrace and a taunt, a warning and a horror, to the nations around you when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and furious rebukes. I, Yahweh, have spoken.

“I will bring you out of the city and hand you over to foreigners; I will execute judgments against you.

“For this is what the Lord God says: How much worse will it be when I send My four devastating judgments against Jerusalem—sword, famine, dangerous animals, and plague—in order to wipe out both man and animal from it!

Then they will burn down your houses and execute judgments against you in the sight of many women. I will stop you from being a prostitute, and you will never again pay fees for lovers.

So I will execute judgments against Moab, and they will know that I am Yahweh.”

You are to say: This is what the Lord God says:Look! I am against you, Sidon,and I will display My glory within you.They will know that I am Yahwehwhen I execute judgments against herand demonstrate My holiness through her.

They will live there securely, build houses, and plant vineyards. They will live securely when I execute judgments against all their neighbors who treat them with contempt. Then they will know that I am Yahweh their God.”

I will make Pathros desolate,set fire to Zoan,and execute judgments on Thebes.

So I will execute judgments against Egypt,and they will know that I am Yahweh.

These are the things you must do: Speak truth to one another; make true and sound decisions within your gates.

Oh, the depth of the richesboth of the wisdom and the knowledge of God!How unsearchable His judgmentsand untraceable His ways!

Then I heard someone from the altar say:Yes, Lord God, the Almighty,true and righteous are Your judgments.

because His judgments are true and righteous,because He has judged the notorious prostitutewho corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality;and He has avenged the blood of His slavesthat was on her hands.
