The King's Victory
1 {To the Chanter, a Psalm of David} The King shall rejoice in thy strength, O LORD; exceeding glad shall he be of thy salvation.
1 {To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.} The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

1 The king rejoices in your strength, LORD. How greatly he rejoices in your deliverance.
2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not denied him the request of his lips. Selah.

3 For thou shalt prevent him with the blessings of goodness, and shalt set a crown of pure gold upon his head.
3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
3 For You (C)meet him with the blessings of good things;You set a (D)crown of fine gold on his head.
3 You go before him with wonderful blessings, and put a crown of fine gold on his head.
6 For thou shalt give him everlasting felicity, and make him glad with the joy of thy countenance.
6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

6 Indeed, you have given him eternal blessings; you will make him glad with the joy of your presence.
7 And why? Because the king putteth his trust in the LORD; and in the mercy of the most highest he shall not miscarry.
7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
7 For the king (K)trusts in the Lord,And through the lovingkindness of the Most High (L)he will not be shaken.

9 Thou shalt make them like a fiery oven in the time of thy wrath; the LORD shall destroy them in his displeasure, and the fire shall consume them.
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
9 You will make them (N)as a fiery oven in the time (e)of your anger;The Lord will (O)swallow them up in His wrath,And (P)fire will devour them.
9 You will make them burnlike a fiery furnace when you appear;the Lord will engulf them in His wrath,and fire will devour them.(K)
9 When you appear, you will set them ablaze like a fire furnace. In his wrath, the LORD will consume them, and the fire will devour them.
10 Their fruit shalt thou root out of the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
10 Their (f)offspring You will destroy from the earth,And their (g)(Q)descendants from among the sons of men.
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth, even their offspring from the ranks of mankind.
12 Therefore shalt thou put them to flight, and the strings of thy bow shalt thou make ready against the face of them.
12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
12 For You will (T)make them turn their back;You will (i)aim (U)with Your bowstrings at their faces.
12 Indeed, you will make them retreat, when you aim your bow at their faces.
13 Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength; so will we sing and praise thy power.
