A Plea For Protection

¹² I am forgotten, like a dead man no one thinks about; I am regarded as worthless, like a broken jar. ¹³ For I hear what so many are saying, the terrifying news that comes from every direction. When they plot together against me, they figure out how they can take my life. ¹⁴ But I trust in you, O Lord! I declare, "You are my God!"

Jeremiah 20:10

I hear many whispering words of intrigue against me. Those who would cause me terror are everywhere! They are saying, "Come on, let's publicly denounce him!" All my so-called friends are just watching for something that would lead to my downfall. They say, "Perhaps he can be enticed into slipping up, so we can prevail over him and get our revenge on him.
