Prayer In Difficult Times
1 By the power of your hand the earth is shaking and broken; make it strong again, for it is moved.

1 God, you have cast us off; you have breached our defenses and you have become enraged. Return to us!
3 Give a safe place to those who have fear of you, where they may go in flight from before the bow. (Selah.)
3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

4 So that your loved ones may be made safe, let your right hand be my salvation, and give me an answer.

6 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver;
6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

6 God has spoken in His sanctuary:(e)“I will triumph! I will divide up Shechem.(G)I will apportion the Valley of Succoth.(H)
6 Then God spoke in his holiness, "I will rejoice I will divide Shechem; I will portion out the Succoth Valley.
7 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I put out my shoe; over Philistia will a glad cry be sounded.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
7 “(P)Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine;(Q)Ephraim also is the (k)helmet of My head;Judah is My (l)(R)scepter.
7 Gilead belongs to me, and Manasseh is mine. Ephraim is my helmet, and Judah my scepter.
8 Who will take me into the strong town? who will be my guide into Edom?
8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
8 “(S)Moab is My washbowl;Over (T)Edom I shall throw My shoe;Shout loud, O (U)Philistia, because of Me!”
8 Moab is my wash basin; over Edom I will throw my shoes; over Philistia I will celebrate my triumph."
10 Give us help in our trouble; for there is no help in man.
10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?
10 Have not You Yourself, O God, (V)rejected us?And (W)will You not go forth with our armies, O God?
10 Aren't you the one, God, who has cast us off? Didn't you refuse, God, to accompany our armies?
