'Work of God' in the Bible
And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.
And Huram also made the pails [for ashes], the shovels, and the basins. So Huram finished the work that he did for King Solomon in the house of God:
Then ceased the work of God's house which is at Jerusalem; and it ceased until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
Then they set the priests in their divisions and the Levites in their sections for the work of God in Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.

While daylight lasts, we must be busy with the work of God: night comes, when no one can do any work.
When we all fell to the ground I heard a voice speaking in the Hebrew [i.e., Aramaic] language. [It said], 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? You are only hurting yourself by kicking against the spurs [i.e., opposing the work of God].'
Therefore, let it be known to you that this saving work of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen!”
For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
But all this is the work of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave us the Ministry of Reconciliation--
and so does Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only comrades in the work of God's realm, belonging to the circumcised, who have been any comfort to me.
