Matthew 12:9-14 - A Man With A Withered Hand Healed

Matthew 12:9-14

9 And departing thence he went into their synagogue, 10 and behold a man having a withered hand [was there]. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath? that they might accuse him.

11 And he said to them, What man is there of you having one sheep, who if this falls into a pit on the sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 How much then is a man better than a sheep! So that it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.

13 Then he said to the man, Stretch out your hand; and he stretched it out, and it was restored as sound as the other; 14 and the Pharisees went out and took counsel against him to destroy him.

Mark 3:1-6

1 And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there having a withered hand. 2 And they watched him [to see] if he would cure him on the sabbath, that they might accuse him. 3 And he said to the man having the withered hand, Arise in the midst. 4 And he said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? And they were silent. 5 And looking around on them in anger, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored. 6 And the Pharisees went out immediately with the Herodians, and took counsel against him to kill him.

Luke 6:6-11

6 And on another sabbath he went into the synagogue and taught. And there was a man there whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him [to see] if he would perform a cure on the sabbath, that they might find [something of which] to accuse him. 8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man having the withered hand, Arise, and stand in the midst. And he arose and stood. 9 And Jesus said to them, I will ask you whether it is lawful on the sabbath to do good or to do evil? to save a life or to destroy? 10 And looking round upon them all he said to him, Stretch out your hand. And he did so; and his hand was restored. 11 And they were filled with madness, and conferred with each other as to what they should do to Jesus.
