Romans 16:17-20 - Concluding Exhortations

Romans 16:17-20

17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark those who cause divisions and revolts against the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them. 18 for such as these serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own selfishness; and by flourish and flattery, deceive the open-hearted simple.

19 your christianity is very well known in the world. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you as expert in that which is good, as unpractis'd in what is evil. 20 the God of peace will soon bruise Satan under your feet. the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

1 Corinthians 16:13-18

13 Be upon the watch, stand firm in the faith, behave your selves like men of fortitude: 14 let all your transactions flow from social affections.

15 You know brethren, that the family of Stephanas were the first converts of Achaia, and have made it their business to be serviceable to christian converts: to such, 16 I beseech you be subservient, and to every one that helpeth us with his labours. 17 I am glad that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus are come: for what was wanting on your side, they have supplied. 18 for they have quieted my mind as well as yours: therefore to such have a regard.
