And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.

He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour. And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. read more. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
