and Esau saith unto Jacob, 'Let me eat, I pray thee, some of this red red thing, for I am weary;' therefore hath one called his name Edom Red;

And the first came out red all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.

The eyes are red with wine, And the teeth are white with milk.

And he set the reds which he had peeled, in the channels in the troughs of water, - where the flocks came in to drink straight before the flocks, and the females of the flock used to be in heat when they came in to drink;

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of red rice. And he ate and drank and rose up and went his way. And so Esau regarded not his birthright.

And as she travailed, the one put out his hand and the midwife took and bound a red thread about it, saying, "This will come out first."

And afterward came out his brother that had the red thread about his hand, which was called Zerah.
