And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as one man, so that they sent to the king, saying, Return, you and all your servants.

And the shooters shot from off the wall upon your servants, and some of the king's servants are dead, and your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.

And Joab returned from following Abner. And when he had gathered all the people together, nineteen men and Asahel were missing from David's servants.

And he put garrisons in Edom. He put garrisons throughout all Edom, and all the men of Edom became David's servants. And Jehovah preserved David wherever he went.

And the men of the city went out and fought with Joab. And some of the people of the servants of David fell. And Uriah the Hittite also died.

And Absalom came to the king and said, Behold now, your servant has shearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.

And all his servants passed on beside him. And all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men who came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.

And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David. And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand, and on his left.
