And none said, 'Where is God my maker? Giving songs in the night,

I lift up my knowledge from afar, And to my Maker I ascribe righteousness.

He is a beginning of the ways of God, His Maker bringeth nigh his sword;

For I have not known to give flattering titles, In a little doth my Maker take me away.

Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?

[Just] as I have seen, plowers of mischief and sowers of trouble will reap it.

Indeed, mischief does not come from the dust, and trouble does not sprout from the earth.

They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their heart prepares deceit.

Will you keep [to the] way of old that [the] people of mischief have trod,

And he goes on the road in company with instigators of mischief, and walks with men of wickedness.

There is no darkness, and there is no deep shadow where instigators of mischief might hide themselves.

Would that Job were tested up to [the] end because [his] answers [are] like [those from] men of mischief,

So he opens their ear to the discipline, and he commands that they return from mischief.

Take care, you must not turn to mischief, for because of this you have been tried by misery.

Is not disaster for [the] evil one and ruin for [the] workers of mischief?
