But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

And if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut it off and cast it from thee; it is good for thee to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into eternal fire.

And much people came unto him, having with them halt, blind, dumb, maimed, and other many: and cast them down at Jesus' feet. And he healed them,

insomuch that the people wondered, to see the dumb speak, the maimed whole; and the halt to go, the blind to see. And they glorified the God of Israel.

And if thy hand serve as a snare to thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having thy two hands to go away into hell, into the fire unquenchable;
