For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for, laboring night and day, that we might not be burdensome to any one of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.
For this reason, also, we thank God without ceasing; be cause, when you received the word of God, as preached by us, you embraced it, not as the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works in you that believe.

for when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as the pains of birth upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
You are all sons of light, and sons of day: we are not of night, nor of darkness.
Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober.
For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunken, are drunken in the night.

in flaming fire, to take vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Receive not an accusation against an old man, unless before two or three witnesses.
Like wise, also, the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and those which are otherwise can not be concealed.
Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God, and his teaching, be not reviled.
And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren: but rather let them serve them, because they who partake of the benefit of their service, are believers and beloved brethren. These things enforce in your teaching and exhortation.
