And when they had taken him, they brought him to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon to Riblah, where they reasoned with him.
Zedekiah's sons were executed while Zedekiah was forced to watch. The king of Babylon then had Zedekiah's eyes put out, bound him in bronze chains, and carried him off to Babylon.

who had been fathered by Tahath, who had been fathered by Assir, who had been fathered by Ebiasaph, who had been fathered by Korah,
who had been fathered by Izhar, who had been fathered by Kohath, who had been fathered by Levi, who had been fathered by Israel.
There was also his brother Asaph, who stood to Heman's right. Asaph had been fathered by Berechiah, who had been fathered by Shimea,
who had been fathered by Michael, who had been fathered by Baaseiah, who had been fathered by Malchijah,
who had been fathered by Ethni, who had been fathered by Zerah, who had been fathered by Adaiah,
who had been fathered by Ethan, who had been fathered by Zimmah, who had been fathered by Shimei,
who had been fathered by Jahath, who had been fathered by Gershom, and who had been fathered by Levi.
To Heman's left were their relatives who were Merari's sons: Ethan, who had been fathered by Kishi, who had been fathered by Abdi, who had been fathered by Malluch,
who had been fathered by Hashabiah, who had been fathered by Amaziah, who had been fathered by Hilkiah,
who had been fathered by Amzi, who had been fathered by Bani, who had been fathered by Shemer,
who had been fathered by Mahli, who had been fathered by Mushi, who had been fathered by Merari, who had been fathered by Levi,
along with their relatives, descendants of Levi who had been appointed for all the service of the tent of the Temple of God.
But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

And Machir took to wife the sister of Huppim and Shuppim, whose sister's name was Maachah;) and the name of the second was Zelophehad: and Zelophehad had daughters.
Zabad his son, Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead were killed by men who were natives of Gath, because they came down to take their livestock.
and he goeth in unto his wife, and she conceiveth and beareth a son, and he calleth his name Beriah, because in evil had been his house, --
Bezer, and Hod, and Shamma, and Shilshah, and Ithran, and Beera.
All these were the descendants of Asher. They were the leaders of their families, the most capable men, who were warriors and served as head chiefs. There were 26,000 warriors listed in their genealogical records as capable of doing battle.

And the gatekeepers are Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren -- Shallum is the head;
Up till then they had been at the king's door to the east. They were door-keepers for the tents of the sons of Levi.
And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of his father's house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent: and their fathers had been over the camp of Jehovah, keepers of the entry.
All these chosen to be doorkeepers at the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were registered by genealogy according to their villages: David and Samuel the seer had instituted them in their trust.
So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.
And, their brethren in their villages, had to come in, every seven days, from time to time, along with these.
For the four chief door-keepers, who were Levites, had a special position, looking after the rooms and the store-houses of the house of God.
And they lodged all around the house of God, for upon them [was] a responsibility. And {they had charge of opening [the house of God] every morning}.
And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.
And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.
And other of their brethren, the sons of Kohath, had the oversight of the shewbread, to prepare against all Sabbaths.
And these were those who had the ordering of the music and songs, heads of families of the Levites, who were living in the rooms, and were free from other work, for their work went on day and night.
