But now, seeing it is dead, wherefore should I fast? Can I bring him again any more? I shall go to him: but he shall not come again to me."

About that time Hezekiah was sick unto the death. And the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, "Thus sayeth the LORD: put thine household in an order, for thou shalt die and not live." And Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and besought the LORD, saying, "Oh LORD, remember yet how I have walked before thee truly and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight," and wept a great pace.
