But when John heard in the prison of the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples.

And his disciples came and took up the body and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

The disciples of John and those of the Pharisees were fasting. And they came and said to Him, Why do John's disciples and those of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?

And they said to Him, Why do John's disciples fast often and make prayers, and also the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink?

And his disciples reported all these things to John.

Then a question from John's disciples arose with the Jews about purification.


And taking him by the right hand, he lifted him up. And immediately his feet and ankle-bones received strength.

And also a multitude came from the cities around Jerusalem, bringing sick ones, and those being tormented by unclean spirits, who were all healed.

And Peter said to him, Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you; rise up and spread for yourself! And he arose immediately.

said with a loud voice, Stand up on your feet! And he leaped and walked.

And she did this many days. But being distressed, and turning to the demonic spirit, Paul said, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her! And it came out in that hour.

And when they had come in, they went up into an upper room, where Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James;

And the names of the twelve apostles are these: First, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee and John his brother;

Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;

And He put on Simon the name Peter.

And He said to them, Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?


And He was in the stern of the boat, asleep on a headrest. And they awakened Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we perish?

And their words seemed to them like foolishness, and they did not believe them.

And while they still did not believe for joy, and wondered, He said to them, Have you any food here? And they handed to Him a piece of a broiled fish and of a honeycomb. And He took it and ate before them. read more.
And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms about Me. And He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.
