Thematic Bible

When the full time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

My eyes have seen your salvation. That which you prepared before the peoples.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places through Christ. He chose us through him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love. He predetermined (ordained) us to adoption, as sons to himself through Jesus Christ, according to the kind intention of his will. read more.
This is to the praise of the glory of his kindness, with which he freely honored us, the loved ones. In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. He made this undeserved kindness abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence (insight). He made known to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure and purpose. It was for an administration at the appointed time. This administration is to gather up all things in Christ, the things in heaven, and the things upon the earth. Yes in him! We were assigned as heirs predetermined according to his purpose. He works all things according to his direction and will. We who were first to hope in Christ should serve to the praise of his glory.

May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you a spirit (mental disposition) of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Have the eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the holy ones, and what the exceeding greatness of his power is toward us who believe, according to the operation of his mighty strength. read more.
He operated in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places. It is far above all governments and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. He (God) put all things in subjection under his feet, and made him head over all things to the congregation,

But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ. For by grace (loving-kindness) you have been saved. God raised us up with him and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, with Christ Jesus. read more.
So in the ages to come he, with Christ Jesus, might show the exceeding (surpassing) (exceptional) riches of his grace with kindness toward us. By grace (Greek: charis, divine favor, loving-kindness) you have been saved through faith. It is not from you. It is the gift from God! It is not the result of works. So no man should boast. For we are his workmanship created with Christ Jesus for good works. God prepared these works in advance that we should walk in them.

It was the good pleasure of the Father that in him all the fullness should dwell. And all things are reconciled through him. He made peace through the blood of his atonement (of the stake). He reconciles all things, whether things upon the earth, or things in heaven.

Also Christ did not glorify himself to be made a high priest. It was God who said to him: You are my Son; I today have become your father.

I do not want you to be ignorant brothers, concerning those who are asleep (in death). You do not need to sorrow like others who have no hope. If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus. We tell you this by God's Word, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede those who are asleep. read more.
For the Lord will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ will rise first. We that are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so will we ever be with the Lord. Comfort one another with these words.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened. The moon will not give light. The stars will fall from heaven. The powers of the heavens will be shaken. The sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of earth will mourn. They will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. He will send his angels with a great trumpet sound. They will gather together the anointed from the four winds, from one end of the sky (horizon) to the other.

In those days after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light. The stars will fall from heaven and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. They will see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. read more.
He will send the angels to gather together his anointed from the four winds, from one end of the earth to the other end of heaven.

([Asaph]) The Almighty Divine One, God of Gods, Jehovah has spoken. He has summoned the earth from where the sun rises to where it sets. God shines from Zion. He is the perfection of beauty. Our God will come and will not keep silent. A devouring fire is in front of him and a raging storm is around him. read more.
He addresses (summons) heaven and earth to judge his people: Gather around me, my godly ones who have made a covenant with me through sacrifices.

You have no need that I write to you about the times and dates, brothers. For you know perfectly that the Day of Jehovah will come like a thief in the night. (Zephaniah 1:14) When they say, Peace and security! then sudden destruction will come upon them, as labor pains come to a pregnant woman. They will not escape. read more.
You do not live in the dark. That day should not overtake you by surprise as a thief would. You are all the children (sons) of light, and the children of the day. We are not of the night, not of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep like others do. But let us watch and be sober. They that sleep do so in the night. They that get drunk are drunk in the night. Let us be sober and put on the breastplate of faith and love; and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God has not appointed us to experience his wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us, that, whether we are awake in this life or sleep in death, we should live together with him. Comfort each other and strengthen one another as you are doing.

Now we ask you, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to him, do not get upset right away or alarmed when someone claims that we said through some spirit, conversation, or letter that the Day of Jehovah has already come. (Isaiah 13:6) (Zephaniah 1:14) (2 Peter 3:10)

Also Christ did not glorify himself to be made a high priest. It was God who said to him: You are my Son; I today have become your father.

The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed. You hanged him on a stake. God exalted him to his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

You know that message which began in Galilee and was published throughout all Judea, after the baptism that John preached. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. God was with him. We are witnesses of all things that he did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a stake. read more.
God raised him up the third day and made him visible. However, all the people did not see him. Witnesses who were previously chosen by God saw him. We who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead saw him. He commanded us to preach to the people. We testify that he was ordained by God to be the Judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify that through his name whoever believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins.

Give thanks to the Father, who made us partakers of the inheritance of the holy ones in the light. He rescued us from the power of darkness, and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love (the Son he dearly loves). We have in him our redemption and the forgiveness of our sins.

We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Those he first recognized, he ordained in advance that they be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Jehovah said to him: Go back on your way through the wasteland to Damascus. When you get there, put holy oil on Hazael to make him king over Aram, And also anoint Jehu, son of Nimshi, making him king over Israel; and Elisha, the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah, to be prophet in your place. I will leave seven thousand people alive in Israel; all those who are loyal to me and have not bowed to Baal or kissed his idol.

I ask has God rejected his people? Certainly not! I also am an Israelite, a descendant of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he first knew. Do you remember what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he made intercession to God against Israel? Jehovah, they have killed your prophets, and torn down your altars. I am left alone, and they seek my life. (1 Kings 19:14, 18) read more.
What does God say in answer to him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

Jehovah works righteousness and judgment for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, His deeds to the sons of Israel.

Jehovah's deeds are spectacular. They are studied by all who enjoy them. His work is glorious and majestic. His righteousness endures (continues) forever. He has made his miracles unforgettable. Jehovah is gracious and compassionate. read more.
He provides food for those who reverence him. He always remembers his covenant. He has revealed the power of his works to his people by giving them the lands of other nations as an inheritance.

Then Jesus prayed: I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth. You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and have revealed them to children. (Acts 2:36) Yes, Father, for it was very pleasing in your sight.

Likewise the Spirit also helps our weaknesses. We do not know what we should pray for, as we should. The Spirit [of God] makes intercession with groaning that cannot be spoken. So he who searches the hearts knows what is the inclination (purpose) (mind-set) of the Spirit [of God], because the Spirit makes intercession for the holy ones according to the will of God.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ. He (Jesus) gave himself for our sins that he might deliver us out of this present evil age. This is according to the will of our God and Father.
