All nations will be gathered before him. He will then separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
The Father does not judge any man for he has given all judgment to the Son.
He has established a day (time) in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man [Jesus] whom he has ordained. Of that he gives proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead. (John 5:22) (Isaiah 2:4) (Acts 10:42)

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and have active faith in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
But to us there is but one God, the Father. All things come from him and we live for him. And there is one Lord Jesus Christ. All things were made through him and we were made through him.
I want you to understand that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed. And no person can say, Jesus is the Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.
There is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Therefore let all the house of Israel know for sure that God has made that same Jesus, whom you impaled, both Lord and Christ. (Acts 10:36)
God exalted him to his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
He continued: The Son of man is lord of the Sabbath.
He is able to save completely those who approach God through him, because he is always alive to intercede for them.
Christ (Messiah) the Lord, a Savior, is born this day in the city of David.
The Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world. Instead the world should be saved through him.
Faithful is the saying, and worthy of acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.
God exalted him to his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
God brought the Savior Jesus to Israel from this man's descendants.
The appearance of our Savior Christ Jesus revealed this. Jesus abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the good news.
We see and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
Because Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God. He was put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit.
Zeal for your house consumes me. The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. It is written; Cursed is everyone who is hung on a stake.
We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels and crowned with glory and honor for suffering death. By the grace of God he tasted death for every man.
He made the one who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf. That way we might become the righteousness of God in him.
But he was pierced for our transgressions! He was crushed for our iniquities! The punishment that brought us peace was upon him. There has been healing for us because of his wounds.
So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. He will appear the second time without sin to those who look to him for their salvation.
He bore our sins in his body upon the stake, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed because of his wounds (stripes).
The High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is holy, says: 'I dwell in the high and holy and also with him who has a contrite and humble spirit. I revive the spirit of the humble, and the heart of the contrite ones.'
He bends down (humbles himself) to look at heaven and earth.
He remembered us in our low estate. His loving kindness is everlasting.
Even though Jehovah is high above, he sees humble people close up, and he recognizes arrogant people from a distance.
When the Pharisees saw it, they asked his disciples: Why does your Teacher eat with the tax collectors and sinners?
He has looked on the low position of his servant. All generations from now on will call me blessed.
He got up from the meal and laid aside his garments. He wrapped a towel around his waist.
When he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were glad, when they saw the Lord.
Jesus said to Thomas: Put your finger here and look at my hands. Put your hand into my side. Stop doubting and believe!
The Pharisees left and took counsel against him, to decide how they might destroy him.
All of them, using deceit, worked together to capture Jesus and kill him.
It was morning. The chief priests and those in authority conspired to put Jesus to death.
They were all very angry and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
Everyday he taught in the temple. The chief priests, scribes and other important men of the people looked for ways to destroy him.
He went away to discuss with the chief priests and captains, how he might deliver Jesus to them.
The Jews persecuted Jesus because he did these things on the Sabbath.
The chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council. They asked what they should do. This man does many signs and miracles.
So from that day forth they took counsel that they might put him to death.
The Pharisees and Sadducees tested Jesus by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
Pharisees came to him. They tested him, asking: Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?
The Pharisees took counsel how they might trap him in his talk.
The Pharisees came to question him. They were testing him and seeking a sign from heaven.
Some Pharisees came to him and tried to trap him. Does our Law allow a man to divorce his wife? They asked.
Pharisees and Herodians went to him that they might catch him in talk.
They plotted against him and tried to catch him in something he might say.
They watched him and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous. The spies listened for something in his speech to deliver him up to the authority of the governor.

Abraham came near and said: Will you destroy the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city. Would you also destroy the place and not spare it because the righteous people are there? Surely you would not do that! Would you slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked? Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Jehovah said: If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, I will spare the entire place for their sakes. Then Abraham answered and said: Indeed now, I who am only dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to Jehovah: Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous. Would you destroy the entire city for lack of five? So He (God) said: If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it. Abraham spoke again: Suppose there should be forty found there? God replied: I will not do it for the sake of forty. Abraham then said: Do not be angry, and let me speak. Suppose thirty should be found there? God replied: I will not do it if I find thirty there. Abraham then said: Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to Jehovah: Suppose twenty should be found there? God replied: I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty. Abraham again queried: Please do not be angry as I speak once more: Suppose ten should be found there? God said: I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.
Then Jacob was by himself. A man was fighting with him till dawn. The man saw that he was not able to overcome Jacob. He gave him a blow in the hollow part of his thigh, so that his leg was damaged. He said to him: Let me go now, for the dawn is near. But Jacob said: I will not let you go till you have given me your blessing.

Then he asked: What is your name? And he said, Jacob. The man said: Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel (He Struggles With God), because you have struggled with God and with men and you have won. Jacob said: Please tell me your name. The man answered: Why do you ask for my name? Then he blessed Jacob there. Jacob named that place Peniel (Face of God), because he said: I have seen God face to face, yet my life was saved.
David went into the tent he set up for the ark. Then he sat there and prayed: Jehovah All-Powerful, my family and I do not deserve what you have already done for us. Yet this was insignificant in your eyes, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah for you have spoken also of your servant's house in the distant future. And this is the law for man, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah. What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah.

For the sake of your Word and according to your will you have done this great thing. You have made it known to your servant! For this reason you are great, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah. There is none like you. There is no God besides you according to all that we have heard with our ears. There is no other nation on earth like Israel. This is the nation you rescued from slavery in Egypt to be your own. You became famous by using great and wonderful miracles to force other nations and their gods out of your land, so your people could live here. You chose Israel to be your people from generation to generation! You have become their God. And now, Jehovah God, please do what you have promised. You will be famous for a very long time! Everyone will say: Jehovah of Hosts rules Israel. David's descendants are his chosen kings. Now therefore, may it please you to bless the house of your servant that it may continue a long time before you. You O Lord Jehovah have spoken. May the house of your servant be blessed from generation to generation. Lord Jehovah, you are God. You have promised me some very good things, and you can be trusted to do what you promise. Please bless my descendants and let them be your chosen kings for a very long time. You have already promised, and I am sure that you will bless my family from generation to generation.
In the presence of the people Solomon stood in front of the altar. He raised his arms and prayed: Jehovah God of Israel, there is no god like you in heaven above or on earth below! You keep your covenant with your people and show them your love when they live in wholehearted obedience to you. You kept the promise you made to my father David. Every word has been fulfilled.

Jehovah, God of Israel, I pray that you will also keep the other promise you made to my father when you told him there would always be one of his descendants ruling as king of Israel, provided they obeyed you as carefully as he did. So now, O God of Israel, let your word come true that you promised to my father David, your servant. Can you, O God, really live on earth? Not even heaven or the heaven of heavens is large enough to hold you. How can this Temple I have built be large enough? Jehovah my God, I am your servant. Listen to my prayer. Grant the requests I make to you today. Watch over this Temple day and night. For this is the place where you have chosen to be worshiped. Hear me when I face this Temple and pray. Hear my prayers and the prayers of your people. In your home in heaven hear us and forgive us. When a person is accused of wronging another and is brought to your altar in this Temple to take an oath that he is innocent, O Jehovah, listen in heaven and judge your servants. Punish the guilty one, as he deserves. Justify the one who is innocent. When your people Israel have sinned against you their enemies defeat them. They can turn to you and come to this Temple, humbly praying to you for forgiveness. Listen to them in heaven. Forgive the sins of your people and bring them back to the land that you gave to their ancestors. When you hold back the rain because your people have sinned against you. And when they repent in this Temple, humbly praying to you, listen to them in heaven. Forgive the sins of the king and of the people of Israel, and teach them to do what is right. Then, O Jehovah, send rain on this land of yours, which you gave to your people as a permanent possession. When there is famine in the land or an epidemic or scorching winds or swarms of locusts, or when their enemies attack your people, or when disease or sickness among them destroys the crops, listen to their prayers. If any of your people Israel, out of heartfelt sorrow, stretch out their hands in prayer toward this Temple, hear their prayer. Listen to them in your home in heaven, help them and forgive them. You alone know the thoughts of the human heart. Deal with each person, as he deserves, so that your people may obey you all the time they live in the land you gave to our ancestors. When a foreigner who lives in a distant land hears of your fame and of the great things you have done for your people and comes to worship you and to pray at this Temple, For they will have news of your great name and your strong hand and your out-stretched arm. When he comes to pray in this house: Listen to him and give him his desire. Let all the peoples of the earth know about your name. Let them worship you as your people Israel, and that they may see that this house which I have built is truly named by your name. When your people go to war against their enemies, they pray to you, O Jehovah, toward the city you have chosen and the temple I built for your name. Hear their prayer for mercy in heaven, and do what is right for them. They may sin against you, for everyone sins. You may become angry with them and hand them over to an enemy far or near who takes them to another country as captives. If they come to their senses and are sorry for what they have done, and plead with you in the land where they are captives, saying: We have sinned. We have done wrong. We have been wicked. If they change their attitude toward you in the land of their enemies where they are captives, if they pray to you toward the land that you gave their ancestors, and the city you have chosen, and the temple I have built for your name, then in heaven, the place where you live, hear their prayer for mercy. Do what is right for them. Forgive your people, who have sinned against you. Forgive all their wrongs when they rebelled against you. Cause those who captured them to have mercy on them. They are your own people. You brought them out of Egypt from the middle of an iron smelter. May your eyes always see my plea and your people Israel's plea so that you will listen to them whenever they call on you. You Jehovah set them apart from all the people of the world. They are your own as you promised through your servant Moses when you brought our ancestors out of Egypt. When Solomon finished praying this prayer for mercy to Jehovah, he stood in front of Jehovah's altar, where he had been kneeling with his hands stretched out toward heaven. Then he stood and in a loud voice blessed the entire assembly of Israel: THANKS TO JEHOVAH! He has given his people Israel rest, as he has promised. None of the good promises he made through his servant Moses has failed to come true. May Jehovah our God be with us as he was with our ancestors. May he not leave us or abandon us. May he bend our hearts toward him. Then we will follow him and obey his commands, laws, and rules, which he commanded our ancestors to obey. May these words I have prayed to Jehovah be near Jehovah our God day and night. Then he will give his people Israel and me justice every day as it is needed. In this way all the people of the earth may know that Jehovah is God and there is no other god. Let your hearts be committed to Jehovah our God. Then you will live by his laws and keep his commands as you have today.

Pharisees and teachers of the Law complained: This man welcomes sinners and even eats with them!
Why does this man speak this way? He blasphemes for only God is the one who can forgive sins.
When the Pharisees saw it, they asked his disciples: Why does your Teacher eat with the tax collectors and sinners?
The Pharisees saw it and said to him: Your disciples do that which it is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.
They questioned him: Why do your disciples go against the teaching of the fathers? They eat food with unwashed hands.
When the scribes of the Pharisees saw he was eating with the tax collectors and sinners they asked his disciples: Why does he take food and drink with such men?
They saw that some of his disciples ate their bread with unwashed defiled hands.
Many in the crowd complained saying: He is staying with a man who is a sinner.
The Jews complained about him. This is because he said 'I am the bread that came down out of heaven.'
He replied: Today I tell you this. You will be with me in paradise.
If you want to serve me follow me! My servant will be where I am and the Father will honor my servant.
If I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and I will receive you to myself, for where I am you may also be.
Father, I desire that these whom you gave me may be with me where I am. I want them to see the glory you have given me. For you loved me before the creation of the world.
We are of good courage, I say, and are willing to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
I am hard pressed between the two. I have the desire to depart and be with Christ for it is far better.
We that are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so will we ever be with the Lord.
You do not abandon me to the grave or allow your holy one to decay.
From that time forward Jesus made it clear to his disciples how he would have to go to Jerusalem. He told them he would undergo much at the hands of the authorities, including the chief priests and scribes. He let them know he would be put to death. The third day he would come back from the dead.
They will turn him over to the heathen to be made sport of and to be whipped. He will be put to death on the stake. The third day he will come back from the dead.
When I am raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.
They came down the mountain. He warned them not to tell anyone what they had seen until after the Son of man had risen from the dead.
After I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.
Jesus replied: Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.
Having obtained help from God, I continue to this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those that the prophets and Moses said should come. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first to rise from the dead, and should show light to the people, and to the nations.
They were annoyed because they taught the people through Jesus. They preached the resurrection from the dead.
Then Philip went to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ to them.
Then Philip began at the same Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.
He preached in the synagogues immediately. He preached Christ the Son of God.
You know the Word of God was sent to the children of Israel. He (Jehovah God) presented peace through the anointed Lord (or Master) of all, Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:36) (Jesus identified his father, Jehovah God, as Lord of all heaven and earth at Matthew 11:25)
He explained and proved that Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead. And that Jesus is the Messiah.
We preach Christ impaled. It is a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the nations!
We do not preach about ourselves, but about Christ Jesus as Lord. We are your servants for Jesus' sake.
Midway through the feast Jesus went to the temple and taught.
He taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.
Jesus walked all over Galilee teaching in the synagogues. He preached the Good News about the Kingdom. He also healed every kind of disease and infirmity among the people.

I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
You Bethlehem Ephrathah who are little to be among the thousands of Judah. Out of you one will come to me who is to be ruler in Israel! His origin is from of old, from everlasting (days of antiquity) (ancient times).
Father, I desire that these whom you gave me may be with me where I am. I want them to see the glory you have given me. For you loved me before the creation of the world.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was like God (God-like).
Jesus said: I tell you the truth, I existed before Abraham was born! (Ex 3:14, 15)
And now, Father, glorify me with you, the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

He was without father or mother or genealogy, and neither had beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God, he continues as a priest forever.
John answered: I baptize in water. There is one in your midst whom you do not know.

The man answered: This certainly is a marvel that you do not know where he is from and yet he opened my eyes.
But they do these things because they do not know the Father or me.
The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not know Jesus. They fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath when they condemned Jesus.
Whoever abides in him does not sin. Whoever sins has not seen him and does not know him.
Judas (not Iscariot) asked him: Lord, what will happen that you will disclose yourself to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered: If a man loves me, he will obey my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and dwell with him.
If you love me, you will keep (obey) my commandments! I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another helper, that he [the Father] may be with you forever.
The Father loves you, because you loved me, and believed that I came from the Father.
Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an incorruptible (sincere) (principled) (unending) love.
Hold firmly to the true words that I taught you, as the example for you to follow. Remain in the faith and love that are ours in union with Christ Jesus.
I hear about your love, and about the faith you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the holy ones.
You love him without seeing him. Though you do not see him, you believe in him. Full of glory, you rejoice greatly with indescribable joy.
He commanded us to preach to the people. We testify that he was ordained by God to be the Judge of the living and the dead.
Teach them to observe all the things I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another. He gave us this commandment!
He that has my commandments, and obeys them loves me. My Father will love the person who loves me. I will love him and disclose myself to him.
I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.
If you love me, you will keep (obey) my commandments!
If you obey my commandments you will remain in my love. I have obeyed my Father's commandments and remain in his love.

She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger. That was because there was no room for them in the inn.

Two robbers were impaled with him. One was on the right hand and one on the left.

He will be a place of safety for you. But he will be a rock that makes people trip and a stumbling block for both kingdoms of Israel. He will be a trap and a snare for those who live in Jerusalem.
They resented him. But Jesus responded to them: A prophet is without honor in his own country, and in his own house.
Why? It is because it was not based on the principle of faith, but on that of works. They have stumbled at the stumbling stone.
It is a stone that people stumble over, and a large rock that people find offensive. They stumble because they are disobedient to the word. To this end they were appointed.
After Jesus said this he was troubled in spirit and said: One of you will betray me.
He was despised and rejected by men. He was a man of sorrows familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised. We did not consider him to be worth much.

We know this that our old self was impaled with him that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer be in bondage to sin.
I have been impaled with Christ. It is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. The life that I now live in the flesh (physical body) I live by faith. This is the faith that is in the Son of God. He loved me and gave himself up for me.
If you died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances:
It is written: For your sake we are put to death all day long. We are considered as sheep for the slaughter. (Psalm 44:22)
For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our mortal flesh.
This is a faithful saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him.
Jesus therefore said: I am with you a little while. Then I go to him who sent me.
You heard me say I will go away and I will come again to you. If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father. The Father is greater than I!
I go to him that sent me. None of you asks me: Where are you going?
I am no more in the world but they are in the world. I come to you Holy Father. Keep them in your name, which you have given to me, that they may be one*, even as we are. *(Greek: heis; united in purpose and love)
Little children I am with you for a little while. You will seek me and as I told the Jews now I say to you, where I go, you cannot come.
Second, of righteousness, because I go to the Father and you will not see me anymore.
A little while and you will see me no more and again a little while, and you will see me.
I came out from the Father and came into the world. I leave the world and go to the Father.
I spoke to you that in me you might have peace. In the world you have tribulation. Be of good cheer for I have conquered the world!

I gave them the words that you gave me. They understood them and knew I came from you. They believed you sent me.
May they all be united (in agreement) as one. Just as you, Father, are with me, and I am with you. Help them be united with us! That way the world may believe that you sent me.
Did the Christ need to suffer these things and enter into his glory?
I tell you that which is written must be fulfilled in me. He was numbered with transgressors for that which concerns me has fulfillment.
Then he taught them that the Son of man must suffer many things. The elders, chief priests, and the scribes will reject him. He will be killed and after three days he will rise from the dead.
The Son of man must suffer many things, he told them. The elders, chief priests and scribes will reject him and kill him. The third day he will be raised up.
I have a baptism to experience and I am distressed until it is accomplished!
He said the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be impaled, and the third day rise again.
He said: It is written that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day.
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must also be lifted up.

For this reason God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name that is above every name, (Relative authority given by Jehovah God, the Father to His Son) (Philipians 2:11) that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I charge you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed the good confession:
Pilate said: Are you a king then? Jesus answered: As you say I am a king. I was born and came into the world for this purpose, that I should bear witness to the truth! Every one who is of the truth hears my voice.
Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander of the nations.
This is the truth. We speak what we know and witness about what we have seen. But you do not receive our testimony.
He testifies about what he has seen and heard, but no man accepts his testimony.
Jesus answered them: Even if I bear witness about myself, my testimony is true! I know where I came from and I know where I am going. You do not know where I came from or where I am going.

I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. He that sent me is true. I tell the world the things he told me.
I spoke not from myself but from the Father who sent me. He has given me a commandment concerning what I should say when I speak.
Do you not believe that I am with the Father and that the Father is with me? The words I say to you are not from me, but the Father dwells with me and does his works.
He who does not love me does not obey my words. The word you hear is not mine, but comes from the Father who sent me.

The days are coming, declares Jehovah, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch. He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.
At that time I will choose as king a righteous descendant of David. That king will do what is right and just throughout the land.
Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you. They are men that are a sign. I will bring forth my servant the Branch (Sprout)!

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them. A voice came out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.
Then a voice came from heaven: You are my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.
This is to the praise of the glory of his kindness, with which he freely honored us, the loved ones.
Also Christ did not glorify himself to be made a high priest. It was God who said to him: You are my Son; I today have become your father.

You have come to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks in a better way than the blood of Abel.
There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
Jesus has obtained a more excellent ministry. The covenant that he arranged between God and his people is a better one, because it is based on promises of better things.
For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant. A death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant. Those called may receive the promise of everlasting inheritance.
Christ has not entered into the Holy Place made with human hands. This is a copy of the true one. He has entered into heaven to appear before the presence of God for us.
My little children, I write you these things that you may not sin. If any man sin, we have an Advocate (intercessor) (comforter) (helper) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous!
He is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning (commencement), the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence (first place).
He (God) put all things in subjection under his feet, and made him head over all things to the congregation,
By speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in all things to him. For he, Christ, is the head.
For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the congregation, he being the savior of the body.
not holding fast to the head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, grows with the growth from God.
Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and unite them with (turn them into) the members of a prostitute? God forbid!
And we are members of his body!
Brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ; that you should be joined to another, even to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God.

He that sees me sees (perceives) (discerns) (experiences) the one who sent me.
If you had known me, you would have perceived my Father also. From now on you understand him and have experienced him. Philip said: Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us. Jesus responded: Have I been with you so long a time and you do not know me Philip? He who has seen me has discerned (experienced) (perceived) the Father. And you say, show us the Father?

The fullness of divine nature lives in Christ's bodily form. (Greek: theotes: essence and nature of God) (Only the Son of God could have divine attributes, the inherited qualities from the Father)
Out of the fullness of his undeserved kindness he gives us one blessing after another.
He (God) put all things in subjection under his feet, and made him head over all things to the congregation, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills (accomplishes) (completes) all in all.

It was the good pleasure of the Father that in him all the fullness should dwell.
The apostles witnessed about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with great power. Grace (God's loving kindness) was upon them all.
We are witnesses of all things that he did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a stake. God raised him up the third day and made him visible. However, all the people did not see him. Witnesses who were previously chosen by God saw him. We who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead saw him.
He was declared to be the Son of God with power through the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.
You took this man and delivered him by the determined counsel (purpose) and foreknowledge of God. With wicked hands you impaled and murdered him. God resurrected him, loosing the pains of death. This is because it was not possible that he should be held fast by it.
You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and requested a murderer to be released to you. You killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead. We witnessed this!
Paul went in, for it was his custom. He reasoned with them from the Scriptures for three Sabbath days. He explained and proved that Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead. And that Jesus is the Messiah.
Then he poured water into the basin and washed the disciples' feet. He wiped them with the towel he was wearing.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king comes to you! He is righteous having salvation. He is humble, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the son of a she ass.

All things were made through him and without him not one thing was made.
To make all men see what is the administration of the secret which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things.
Long ago on many occasions and in many ways God spoke to our fathers through the prophets. He has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, through whom he made the ages (Greek: aion: ages of time, perpetuity, worlds, generations, human entities).
Jesus told them to go into the city and tell a certain man: The Teacher's time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.
After returning to the disciples, he said: Do you sleep now and take your rest? The hour is here and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
They looked for a way to capture him. But no man laid his hand on him. This is because his hour had not yet arrived.
Jesus answered: The time has come for the Son of man to be glorified.
Jesus knew before the feast of the Passover that the time had come for him to leave this world and return to his Father. He loved his own who were in the world to the very end.

They reviled him and spoke many things against him.
They exclaimed: He has an unclean spirit!
Do they blaspheme the honorable name by which you are called?
To those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, it is Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
The child grew and became strong. He was filled with wisdom and was blessed by God.
He went to his own country and taught in the synagogue. They were astonished and asked where this man got this wisdom and these mighty works.
The Spirit of Jehovah will rest on him. The spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and respect for Jehovah will be his.
In him is concealed all the hidden treasures of God's wisdom and knowledge.
On the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and shouted in a loud voice: If any man thirst let him come to me and drink.
About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? Which (translated) means: My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Other seed fell on the good ground. It grew and produced fruit a hundredfold. As he said these things he cried. He said: He who has ears to hear let him hear.
Jesus shouted in the temple: You know me and from where I came. I did not come on my own. He who sent me is true and you do not know him.
Jesus cried out: He, who believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.
Jesus cried again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them. A voice came out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.
Then a voice from heaven said: This is my Son whom I love and whom I have approved.
There is another who testifies about me. I know that his evidence about me is true.
The Father who sent me testifies about me. You have not heard his voice nor seen him at any time.
I testify about myself and the Father who sent me testifies about me.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. The witness of God is this, that he gave witness concerning his Son.
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'A gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Wisdom is justified by its actions.
The Pharisees complained: He casts out demons with the help of the ruler of the demons.
They accused him, saying: We found this man perverting our nation. He forbids payment of tax to Caesar. He claims to be Christ a king.
They brought false witnesses, which said: This man will not stop speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the law.
Others mockingly said: These men are full of new wine.
We have found this man to be a troublemaker who stirs up sedition (resists lawful authority) among all the Jews throughout the world. He is a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great. He will divide the spoils with the strong. This is because he poured out his life unto death. He was numbered with the transgressors. He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Who is this coming from Bozrah in Edom with his clothes stained bright red? Who is this dressed in splendor, going forward with great strength? It is I, Jehovah! I am coming to announce my victory. I am powerful enough to save you!
I say to you, one greater than the Temple is here.
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation. She will condemn them for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the Wisdom of Solomon and one greater than Solomon is here now.
For this reason God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name that is above every name, (Relative authority given by Jehovah God, the Father to His Son) (Philipians 2:11) that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,
We are justified (acquitted) (made righteous) by faith. And we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he was pierced for our transgressions! He was crushed for our iniquities! The punishment that brought us peace was upon him. There has been healing for us because of his wounds.
For he is our peace, who made both (Jews and Gentiles) one, and broke down the middle barrier of partition.
And all things are reconciled through him. He made peace through the blood of his atonement (of the stake). He reconciles all things, whether things upon the earth, or things in heaven.
Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Jesus replied: Should the wedding guests mourn and also celebrate with the groom? The days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast.
The kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
There was a shout at midnight. 'Here is the bridegroom! Come meet him.'
He that has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom stands and listens to him. He rejoices greatly because he hears the bridegroom's voice. This fills me with joy.
He puts on righteousness like a coat of armor and a helmet of salvation on his head. He wears clothes of vengeance. He wraps himself with zeal as a coat.
He said: Why did you look for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?
His disciples remembered what was written. 'Zeal for your house shall eat me up.' (Psalm 69:9)
Jesus said: My food is to do the will of him that sent me. To finish his work!
We must work the works of him that sent me while it is day. When the night comes no man can work.
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. God was with him.
The scriptures say: I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, chosen and precious (Isaiah 28:16). He who believes in him will not be disappointed (shamed).
The stone that the builders rejected as worthless turned out to be the most important of all.
Jesus said to them: Have you read the Scriptures, 'The stone the builders rejected has been made the chief cornerstone of the building. This was Jehovah's doing, and it is wonderful in our eyes.' (Isaiah 28:16)
This is the stone that was rejected by you builders. It became the chief corner stone.
You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Christ Jesus is the chief corner stone.
And from Jesus Christ, who is the Faithful Witness, and the firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and released us from our sins by his blood.
They will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome (conquer) them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings. Those who are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
The blessed and only Potentate (Sovereign) (Authority) will make him appear in his own appointed time. For he is the King of kings and Lord of lords.
He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
And from Jesus Christ, who is the Faithful Witness, and the firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and released us from our sins by his blood.

He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
They were all very angry and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
His citizens hated him. They sent a spokesman to him saying we do not want this man to rule us.
The world has no reason to hate you. But it hates me because I testify that its works are evil.
This took place that the word written in the Law may be fulfilled: They hated me without a cause.
When the chief priests and officers saw him, they cried out: Impale him! Impale him! Pilate replied: Take him yourselves, and impale him for he has committed no crime!

And Herod with his soldiers despised him with contempt, and mocked him. They arrayed him in magnificent apparel. Then they sent him back to Pilate.
The Jews persecuted Jesus because he did these things on the Sabbath.
They rose up to drive him out of the city. They led him to the top of the hill where their city was built to throw him down the hill.
After that Jesus walked in Galilee. He would not walk in Judea because the Jews looked for ways to kill him.
I know that you are Abraham's seed. Yet you seek to kill me. That is because my word has no place among you.
They tried again to capture him but he escaped from them.
He saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, seated at the place where taxes were collected. He said to him: Come with me. And he got up and went with him.
Jesus said: Follow me and I will teach you to catch people.
Jesus called them and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and went with Jesus.
The next day he called his disciples to choose from them twelve, whom he named apostles (ambassadors) (messengers):
The next day he was reminded to go into Galilee. There he found Philip. Jesus said to him, Follow me.
The Lord said: 'Go! I will send you far away to the people of the nations.'
Is this man the carpenter's son? Is his mother called Mary? Are his brothers James and Joseph, Simon, and Judas?
He was despised and rejected by men. He was a man of sorrows familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised. We did not consider him to be worth much.
Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying, ha! You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself, and come down from the stake!
Hearing this the Pharisees made fun of Jesus, because they loved money.
Many of them said: He has a demon and is mad. Why listen to him?
And Herod with his soldiers despised him with contempt, and mocked him. They arrayed him in magnificent apparel. Then they sent him back to Pilate.
The men that held Jesus mocked him and beat him.
They made a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They placed a rod in his right hand. Then they bowed down on their knees before him. They mocked him, saying: Long life to the King of the Jews.
In like manner the chief priests, scribes, and elders mocked him.
The soldiers mocked him and offered him vinegar,
For we are fellow workers together with God. You are God's field under cultivation. You are God's building.
But the people said to Saul: Will Jonathan, who won this great victory for Israel, be put to death? No! We promise by the living Jehovah that he will not lose even a hair from his head. What he did today was done with God's help. So the people saved Jonathan from being put to death.
not in some older manuscripts) After he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene. She was the one who had the seven demons that he cast out.
Working together with him we plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain (to no purpose) (in emptiness).
Simon answered, Master we worked all night and caught nothing. At your word I will let down the nets.
They awoke him saying: Master, Master, we parish! He rebuked the wind and the raging of the water and there was calm.
Jesus said: Who touched me? Peter and the others with him said: Master, the people press in from all sides.
Before they left Peter said to Jesus: Master it is good for us to be here. Let us make three tabernacles. We could make one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah. He did not know what he was saying.
John said: Master we saw some one casting out demons in your name. So we prevented him from doing this because he does not follow us.
They shouted: Jesus! Master! Have pity on us!
Jesus said: He that sows the good seed is the Son of man.
Therefore, when you see all these things, you will know he is near, even at the door.
He spoke only with illustrations. However he made all things clear to his disciples in private.
Now the illustration is this: The seed is the word of God.
He explained to them all the Scriptures about the things concerning him. He spoke about Moses and all the prophets.
Jesus said: Who touched me? Peter and the others with him said: Master, the people press in from all sides.
So many people gathered that there was no room left even by the door. Jesus was speaking God's word to them.
He healed many. Others with afflictions pressed close to him that they might touch him.
Jesus went with him. A great crowd followed him and they pressed very close to him.
Jesus stood by the Lake of Gennesaret as the crowds pressed in upon him in order to hear the word of God.
His mother and brother tried to come to him but could not because of the crowd.
I Jesus have sent my angel to tell you about these things in the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.'
I see him, but not now! I behold him, but not near! A star shall come forth from Jacob. A scepter shall rise from Israel and shall crush through the forehead of Moab. It will tear down all the sons of Sheth.
We have the word of prophecy made sure (steadfast) (firm)! You do well that you pay attention [to God's Word] as you would to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the daystar rises, in your hearts.
I will give him the morning star.
If you obey my commandments you will remain in my love. I have obeyed my Father's commandments and remain in his love.
The world must know that I love the Father. And I obey the Father's commandments. Get up and let us leave here.
Through the disobedience of one man many have been made sinners. Yet through the obedience of one man many will be made righteous.
Although he was a Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.
He also said: I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first in order to establish the second.

I will give him the morning star.
And he said to me: It is done! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him who thirsts from the fountain of the water of life freely.
To the person who conquers and continues to do my works to the end, I will give power (authority) over the nations.
I will give him the morning star.
Peace I leave with you! My peace I give to you. I do not give as the world gives to you. Do not let your heart be troubled or full of fear.
We have heard that which was from the beginning. We have also seen it with our own eyes. We looked at it and touched it with our hands. It is the Word of life.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was like God (God-like).
The Word [Jesus] became flesh (a human being) and lived with us. We saw the glory of the only begotten son from the Father. He was full of loving-kindness and truth.
There are three that testify: (Latin Vulgate: tres testimonium: three that testify.)
He was clothed with a garment dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
It was appropriate that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, should bring many sons to glory, to make the Chief Agent of their salvation perfect through suffering.
The Word [Jesus] became flesh (a human being) and lived with us. We saw the glory of the only begotten son from the Father. He was full of loving-kindness and truth.
Pilate went out again, and said to them: Look, I bring him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in him.
Being made perfect, he became the source (cause) (channel) (conduit) (pathway) (facilitator) of eternal salvation to all who obey him. (Psalm 3:8)
The Law appoints men as high priests who have weakness. But the oath that came after the Law appointed the Son who is perfect forever.
God's Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. There he was tested (tempted) by the Devil.
Since he has suffered and was tested in every way; he is able to help those who are being tested.
He spent forty days in the wilderness being tempted by the devil. He did not eat anything during those days so when it was over he was hungry.
You have continued with me in my temptations.
We do not have a high priest who is not able to sympathize with our infirmities (weaknesses). He was tested in all things like ourselves. Yet he was without sin!
He taught in their synagogues and was praised by all.
Many spread their garments along the way. Others spread branches, which they cut from the fields.
They brought him to Jesus. Then they threw their garments on the colt and Jesus sat on him.
They took palm branches and met him. They cried out, Hosanna: Blessed is he who comes in the name of Jehovah, even the King of Israel! (Psalm 118:26)
I heard every creature in heaven and on earth. I also heard those under the earth, in the sea, and all that are in them. They said: Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be to him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever.
There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
The list of ancestors of Jesus Christ, descendant of David and Abraham:
He obtained the appearance as a man, humbled himself, and became obedient even to death, yes, death on the stake.
When the full time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
I am no more in the world but they are in the world. I come to you Holy Father. Keep them in your name, which you have given to me, that they may be one*, even as we are. *(Greek: heis; united in purpose and love)
But if I do them and you do not believe me, believe the works! That way you may know and understand that the Father is with me, and I am with the Father.
Do you not believe that I am with the Father and that the Father is with me? The words I say to you are not from me, but the Father dwells with me and does his works.
The Father and I are one (united in purpose).
I have given them the glory that you gave me in order that they may be one even as we are one.

They screamed at him, saying: What have we to do with you, Son of God? Have you come to torment us before the time?
What do you want with us Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are. You are the Holy One of God!
The unclean spirits fell down before him and cried: You are the Son of God.
Demons came out from many. They cried out: You are the Son of God! He rebuked them and charged them not to speak for they knew he was the Christ.
The evil spirit answered and said to them: Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?
It has been granted to you in behalf of Christ. Not only to believe on him, but also to suffer in his behalf.
For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our mortal flesh.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.
They screamed at him, saying: What have we to do with you, Son of God? Have you come to torment us before the time?

I saw a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
There was someone like the Son of man in the midst of the seven lamp stands. He was clothed with a garment that reached down to the feet, and girded at the chest with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were like a flame of fire. His feet were like fine brass glowing in a furnace. His voice sounded like many rushing waters.

In his right hand he held seven stars. A sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth. His appearance was like the shinning sun in full strength.
I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he who sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns (diadems). He had a name written that no man knew, but himself.
He gave the right to become children of God to all who received him. Even to those who believe in his name.
Whoever receives a little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
When Jesus returned the crowd welcomed him. They were all waiting for him.
He hurried down to receive him joyfully.
He knew that it was over. In order that the scripture might be accomplished, he said: I thirst.
Jesus knew before the feast of the Passover that the time had come for him to leave this world and return to his Father. He loved his own who were in the world to the very end.
There are some of you who do not believe. Jesus knew from the beginning whom they were who did not believe and who would betray him.
He knew who would betray him. That is why he said you are not all clean.
Jesus knew what was about to happen to him. He asked: Whom do you seek?

Do you think I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, No, instead division.
There was much whispering among the people concerning him. Some said: He is a good man. Others said: No, he deceives the people.
So there arose a division in the crowd because of him.
Some of the Pharisees said: This man is not from God, because he does not keep the Sabbath. Others said: How could a man that is a sinner perform such signs? There was division among them.
The Jews were again divided because of what Jesus said.
When I am lifted up from the earth I will draw all men to myself.
When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed him.
He saw Jesus from far off and quickly approached and bowed down before him.
Again Jesus crossed over in the boat to the other side. A great crowd gathered to him while he was by the sea.
After they came down from the mountain a large crowd met him.

Some Pharisees came to him and tried to trap him. Does our Law allow a man to divorce his wife? They asked.
[]
A lawyer stood up to test him. He asked: Teacher what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?
Others tested him demanding a sign from heaven.
He perceived their craftiness, and replied:
A woman who had a hemorrhage (chronic flow of blood) for twelve years came behind him. She touched the border of his garment. She said to herself: If I touch his garment, I will be healed. Jesus turned to see her and said: Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well. The woman was healed at that time.
He healed many. Others with afflictions pressed close to him that they might touch him.
They came to land at Gennesaret. When the men of that place heard the news about Jesus they told everyone in the country. The sick were taken to him. They wanted to touch his robe to be made well.
The crowd tried to touch him for power came forth from him and healed them all.
He knew that it was over. In order that the scripture might be accomplished, he said: I thirst.

The Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom in payment for many.
Which is greater, he who sits and eats or he who serves? Is it he who sits and eats? However I am in the midst of you as he who serves.
He got up from the meal and laid aside his garments. He wrapped a towel around his waist. Then he poured water into the basin and washed the disciples' feet. He wiped them with the towel he was wearing.
He emptied (humbled) himself by taking the form of a servant. He was made in the likeness of men.
They approached Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and told him: We wish to see Jesus.
They informed him: Everyone is asking for you.
The next day he went to a secluded place. The crowds followed him. They did not want him to leave them.
He tried to see who Jesus was. Being a short person he could not see over the crowd.
When the crowd saw that Jesus and his disciples were not there they got into the boats and traveled to Capernaum seeking Jesus.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great. He will divide the spoils with the strong. This is because he poured out his life unto death. He was numbered with the transgressors. He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. He will appear the second time without sin to those who look to him for their salvation.
He bore our sins in his body upon the stake, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed because of his wounds (stripes).
You know that he appeared to take away sins. There is no sin in him!
He taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.
Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying: All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
The people were all amazed and questioned. What is this? What new doctrine is this? He has authority over the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
And he gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of man.

I want to be united with him. I no longer want a righteousness of my own that is gained by obeying the law. The righteousness from God is by faith in Christ.
It is because of him you are united with Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who exerts active faith.
The disciple whom Jesus loved was leaning on his chest.
Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
Jesus wept. The Jews therefore said: Look how deeply he loved him!
I no longer call you servants for the servant does not know what the lord does. I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

Have this attitude (mind-set) (understanding) (mental state) in you that was also in Christ Jesus.
Who has understood the mind of Jehovah, or has instructed him, as his counselor? (Isaiah 40:13) But we do have the mind (purpose) (feelings) (thoughts) (understanding) of Christ.
Since Christ suffered physically for us, you too must strengthen yourselves with the same way of thinking that he had. Whoever suffers physically has ceased from sin.
Then Jesus prayed: I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth. You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and have revealed them to children. (Acts 2:36)
When all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized. He prayed and heaven was opened.
Jesus spoke these things and lifted up his eyes to heaven. He said: Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that the son may glorify you.
So they took away the stone. Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said: Father, I thank you that you hear me.
Where can wisdom be found? Where is the place of understanding? No man knows where it is. It cannot be found in this world of the living. The deep ocean says: 'It is not in me.' The sea proclaims: 'Not in me either!'

Gold will not buy it; neither will any amount of silver. It cannot be bought with the gold from Ophir or with precious onyx or sapphire. Neither gold nor crystal can equal its value. Nor can it be exchanged for jewelry of fine gold. Wisdom is more valuable than gems. Topaz from Ethiopia cannot equal its value. It cannot be bought for any amount of pure gold. Where does wisdom come from? Where does understanding live? It is hidden from the eyes of all the living, concealed from the birds in the air. Destruction and Death say: 'We heard a rumor about it.' God understands the way to it. He knows where it lives He can see to the ends of the earth and observe everything under heaven. When he gave the wind its force and measured the water in the sea, when he made rules for the rain and set paths for the thunderstorms, then he saw it and announced it. He confirmed it and examined it. To man he said: 'Respect for Jehovah is wisdom! To stay away from evil is understanding.'
How blessed is the man who finds wisdom. Happy is the man who gains understanding. The profit from wisdom is better than the profit from silver. Her gain is better than fine gold. She (wisdom) is more precious than pearls. Nothing you desire compares with wisdom.

Long life is in her right hand. In her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways. All her paths are peace. She (wisdom) is a tree of life to those who hold her. Happy are all who keep her. In wisdom Jehovah founded the earth. In understanding he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up and the clouds drop down the dew. My son, do not let them depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion! They will mean life to you and adornment to your neck. You will walk in your way safely. Your foot will not stumble. When you lie down you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
Listen my sons to what your father teaches you. Pay attention and gain understanding. I give you good instruction. Do not abandon my Law! I was my father's son, tender and the only son to my mother.

Father taught me. He said: Remember my words in your heart. Obey my commandments and live. Achieve wisdom and understanding! Do not forget or ignore what I say. Do not abandon wisdom, and she will protect you. Love her, and she will keep you safe. Wisdom is the most important thing. So gain wisdom! And by all means arrive at understanding. Love wisdom and she will exalt you. Embrace wisdom and she will honor you. She will present you with a crown of glory. Listen to me, my son. Accept what I tell you and live a long life. I taught you wisdom and the right way to live. Walk with wisdom and nothing will stand in your way. Run with wisdom and you will not stumble. Take firm hold of instruction and do not let go. Obey her for she is your life.
We heard this voice from out of heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.
While they watched, Jesus' appearance changed (transformed) (transfigured) in their presence. His face was as bright as the sun and his clothes became as white as the light.
Six days later Jesus took Peter, James and John up on a high mountain completely alone. He was transfigured in front of them.
While he prayed his appearance changed and his clothes became white and brilliant.
He presented himself alive to them after his suffering. He gave many convincing proofs. He appeared to them during forty days speaking about the kingdom of God.
So they made the tomb secure. They sealed the stone and placed a guard there.
When he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were glad, when they saw the Lord.
See my hands and my feet that it is I. Touch me and see. A spirit does not have flesh and bones like I have.
Whoever pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of Christ, does not have God! He who dwells in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were astonished at what he taught.
He taught them many things by illustrations and said to them:
Jesus replied: My teaching is not my own. It is his who sent me.
When they entered the city they went to the upper chamber where they were staying. Included were Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealous one, and Judas the son of James.

Evening came and the disciples approached Jesus and said: This place is desolate. Send the people away so they may go to the villages and buy themselves food.
Then he looked up to heaven and blessed the food. He took the five loaves and the two fishes, and broke the loaves into pieces and gave them to his disciples. He also divided the two fishes. He gave the food to his disciples to serve to the people.
As the day wore on the twelve came to him and said: Send the people away, that they may go into the villages and country nearby to find lodging and get food, for we are here in a lonely place.
Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming to him. He asked Philip: Where will we buy enough bread to feed them?
Jesus did not trust his security to them for he understood all men.
We are sure you know all things and have no need that any man ask you questions. Because of this we believe you came from God.
The third time Jesus said to him: Simon, son of John, do you have affection for me? Peter was grieved. Because he said to him the third time, do you have affection for me? Peter replied: Lord, you know all things; you know I have affection for you! Jesus said to him: Feed my sheep.
They prayed: You O Jehovah, know the hearts of all men. Show us which of these men you choose.
Jesus went to the territory of Tyre and Sidon. He did not want anyone to know that he was staying in a house there. However it could not be kept a secret.
Later Simon and the others went out to find him.
The crowd gathered so close that they did not have time for bread.
The people from all the cities knew they were going and they ran together on foot to arrive ahead of them.
When he saw the large crowds of people, he was moved with compassion for them. He knew they were distressed and scattered like sheep not having a shepherd.
He saw the great crowd, had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
Jesus called his disciples and said: I feel compassion for the people, because they have remained with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.
Here is a summary of the things we are discussing: We have this kind of high priest. He sat down at the right hand of the throne of the majesty in heaven.

The spirit cried out and shook the child violently. It came out and the child became like a dead person. Most of them said: He is dead.
The people were all amazed and questioned. What is this? What new doctrine is this? He has authority over the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
The disciples were in awe. They asked: What kind of man is this, for even the winds and the sea obey him?

He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses. This is because the builder of the house has more honor than the house.
Father, I desire that these whom you gave me may be with me where I am. I want them to see the glory you have given me. For you loved me before the creation of the world.
And now, Father, glorify me with you, the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
He is not here, for he has risen just as he promised. Come; see the place where the Lord lay.

Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us. He was an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling odor.

Holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus.
This means that he had to become like his brothers in every way, in order to be their faithful and merciful High Priest in his service to God, in order to offer a propitiatory sacrifice (pay atonement) (to make reconciliation) for the sins of the people.
For unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. May you be filled with all the fullness of God.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
I thank him that enabled me and counted me faithful, appointing me to his service, Christ Jesus our Lord. I was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and a violent aggressor. I was shown mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
The god of this age (world) (religious, social, political, and economic arrangement) has blinded the minds of unbelievers that the light of the good news of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine on them.

I am alive! I was dead and, behold, I am alive forever, Amen. I have the keys of death and the grave.
We have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, so let us hold fast our confession. We do not have a high priest who is not able to sympathize with our infirmities (weaknesses). He was tested in all things like ourselves. Yet he was without sin!
I want to be united with him. I no longer want a righteousness of my own that is gained by obeying the law. The righteousness from God is by faith in Christ.
It was God's will to make known his secret to the people of the nations, this rich and glorious secret that he has for people. The secret is that Christ is in union with you, which means that you will share in his glory.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and dine with him, and he with me.
I count all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. I suffered the loss of all things. Yet I count them as refuse (garbage) (dung) that I may gain Christ.

And all things are reconciled through him. He made peace through the blood of his atonement (of the stake). He reconciles all things, whether things upon the earth, or things in heaven.
All the citizens of earth will worship him, all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of life who was slain from the foundation of the world.
The blessed and only Potentate (Sovereign) (Authority) will make him appear in his own appointed time. For he is the King of kings and Lord of lords.

I have been impaled with Christ. It is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. The life that I now live in the flesh (physical body) I live by faith. This is the faith that is in the Son of God. He loved me and gave himself up for me.
So he reconciled them both in one body to God through the stake. He put to death the enmity (antagonism) (hostility).

When Jesus heard it he said: This sickness will not end in death. It is for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it. Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. When he heard the news he stayed where he was for two days. After this he said to the disciples: Let us go to Judea again. The disciples said: Rabbi, the Jews were seeking to stone you and you go there? Jesus answered: Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walks in the day he does not stumble because he sees the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him. Then he told them: Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep. I go to wake him out of sleep. The disciples said, Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he would recover. Jesus spoke of his death. They thought he spoke of taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said plainly: Lazarus is dead! I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, for it will help you believe. Let us go to him. Thomas, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples: Let us also go that we may die with him. When Jesus arrived he found Lazarus had been in the grave four days. Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away. Many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to console them about their brother. Martha went out to meet Jesus and Mary sat in the house. Martha said to Jesus: Lord if you had been here my brother would not have died. Even now I know that what ever you ask of God he will give it to you. Jesus replied: Your brother will rise again. Martha exclaimed: I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said: I am the resurrection and the life. He who puts active faith in me will live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and puts active faith in me will never die. Do you believe this? She said: Yes Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who is to come into the world. After she said this she went away and secretly called her sister Mary. She said: The teacher is here and calls you. Mary got up quickly and went to him. (Now Jesus had not yet arrived at the village and was still at the place where Martha met him.) The Jews were with her in the house, consoling her. They saw Mary get up quickly and leave. So they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there. When Mary saw Jesus she fell down at his feet. She said: Lord; if you had been here my brother would not have died. Jesus groaned in his spirit and was troubled when he saw her weeping and the Jews who came with her weeping. He asked: Where have you laid him? They answered: Come and see Lord. Jesus wept. The Jews therefore said: Look how deeply he loved him! Some of them said: This man opened the eyes of the blind. Could he have prevented this man from dying? Again Jesus groaned in himself. He went to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid against it. Jesus said: Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of the dead man said: Lord by now the body has decayed for he has been dead four days. Jesus said to her: Did I not say that if you believe you shall see the glory of God? So they took away the stone. Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said: Father, I thank you that you hear me. I knew that you always hear me. But because of the crowd that stands here I said it, that they may believe that you did send me. After he finished he cried out loud: Lazarus, come out! He that was dead came out. He was bound hand and foot with grave-clothes and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus commanded them: Unwrap him and let him go.

That is where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
He went once and forever into the Most Holy Place having eternal salvation. It is not with the blood of goats and young bulls, but with his blood.
whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things. God spoke about this through all his holy prophets since the world began.
He is in heaven at the right hand of God, ruling over all angels and heavenly authorities and powers.
Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying: All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

For this you were called because Christ also suffered for you. He left you an example (a copy for imitation) (a model) that you should follow in his steps. He committed no sin and deception was not found in him.
Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the congregation and gave himself up for it. This is so he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word. Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth.

And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down and said: What does my lord say to his servant? What is your desire? he asked. She said to him: Let my two sons be seated, the one at your right hand, and the other at your left, in your kingdom.

Jehovah is a God who is eager to save. He exalted his laws and teachings, and he wanted his people to honor them.
The Holy Spirit revealed that the way into the Most Holy Place was not open while the tent was still in use.
The Law is a shadow of the good things to come. It is not the actual things. The continual yearly sacrifices can never make those who worship perfect.
Christ came as the high priest of the good things that are now here. He also went into a much better tent that is not made by humans and does not belong to this creation. He went once and forever into the Most Holy Place having eternal salvation. It is not with the blood of goats and young bulls, but with his blood. The blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes from the burning of a young cow, sprinkled on the unclean made them outwardly clean.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcised for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers.
After eight days the baby was circumcised. He was called by the name, Jesus. (Jesus: Jehovah is salvation) This was the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
Do not think I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I came, not to destroy, but to fulfill (perfect) (execute) (accomplish). I solemnly tell you, heaven and earth would pass away before one small letter (detail) will pass away from the Law. All things must be accomplished.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.
For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
He reveals the deep and hidden things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.
But God revealed them to us by his Spirit. For the Spirit investigates (searches) all things, yes even the deep things of God.
But his delight is in the law of Jehovah (YHWH), and on his law he meditates (ponders) (speaks softly with deep thought) (studies) (contemplates) day and night.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his works are from meekness because of wisdom.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill may be seen by all.
No man lights a lamp and puts it in a cellar or under a bushel. He puts it on a table so those who enter may see the light.
For I think that God has placed us apostles last as men appointed to death. We are made a spectacle to the world, and to angels, and to men.
The appearance of our Savior Christ Jesus revealed this. Jesus abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the good news.
The life was made known and we have seen and testify about it. We declare the life to you. It is the eternal life, which was with the Father and was shown to us.
He lived and his life gives light to all people.
The Son has life in himself just as the Father has life in himself. For the Father gave him life.
He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
And what for? Just as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus said: I am the resurrection and the life. He who puts active faith in me will live, even if he dies.

He does not help the angels, but he helps the seed of Abraham.
Death came because of what one man did. The resurrection of the dead also comes because of what one man did. In Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
The first man is from the earth, earthy: the second man is from heaven.

You men of Israel hear these words. Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God came among you with miracles and wonders and signs. God did these by him in your midst, as you also know:
He did not need evidence about men for he knew what was in man.
Jesus responded: I speak the truth! It was not Moses who gave you the bread out of heaven. My Father gives you the true bread out of heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven. It gives life to the world. They responded: Lord, always give us this bread.

I gave them the words that you gave me. They understood them and knew I came from you. They believed you sent me.
May they all be united (in agreement) as one. Just as you, Father, are with me, and I am with you. Help them be united with us! That way the world may believe that you sent me.
The Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
Pharisees and teachers of the Law complained: This man welcomes sinners and even eats with them!
Many in the crowd complained saying: He is staying with a man who is a sinner.
And the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus disciples. They asked: Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?
The Jews complained about him. This is because he said 'I am the bread that came down out of heaven.' They said: Is Jesus the son of Joseph? We know his father and mother. How does he now say, I came down out of heaven? Jesus answered: Stop complaining and saying things against me.
The Jews argued with one another saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying: Teacher, we want to see a sign from you. He answered them: An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign. No sign will be given but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
The disciples told him the Pharisees were upset by what he said.
Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in him?
Pharisees came to him. They tested him, asking: Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?
One of them, a lawyer, tested him by asking a question.
The Pharisees took counsel how they might trap him in his talk. They sent their disciples with the Herodians to Jesus. They said: Teacher we know you are truthful. You teach the way of God in truth. And you are not partial to the influence of men.
Hearing this the Pharisees made fun of Jesus, because they loved money.
When the chief priests and Pharisees heard his illustrations they realized he was talking about them.
The disciples told him the Pharisees were upset by what he said.
The Pharisee saw it and thought to himself if this man were a prophet he would know what kind of woman touched him. She is a sinner.
When the Pharisees saw it, they asked his disciples: Why does your Teacher eat with the tax collectors and sinners?
One day a large number of tax collectors and other outcasts came to listen to Jesus. Pharisees and teachers of the Law complained: This man welcomes sinners and even eats with them!
Jesus said: Take care to have nothing to do with the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Why do you not understand I was not talking about bread? Instead, about keeping away from the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees? Then they realized it was not the leaven of bread he had in mind. It was the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
You blind guides! You strain out the gnat and swallow the camel!
You fools! You blind men! Which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctified the gold?
The Pharisees and Sadducees tested Jesus by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying: Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.
One of the Pharisees asked him to dine with him. He went to the Pharisee's house and sat down to eat.
As he spoke a Pharisee invited him to dine with him. He accepted the invitation and went to eat.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You close the kingdom of heaven to people. You do not invite others to enter nor do you enter. [Verse not found in oldest manuscripts.] Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You travel on both sea and land to make one convert. When this happens, you make him twice as deserving of destruction in the trash fires of the valley of Hinnom (Greek: Gehenna).

Woe to you, you blind guides! You say, 'When you swear by the temple, it is nothing.' Then you say, 'When you swear by the gold of the temple, you are obligated.' You fools! You blind men! Which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctified the gold? When you swear by an altar, you owe nothing. When you swear by the gift left on the altar, you are obligated. You blind men! What is more important, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift? He who swears by the altar, swears by it and everything on it. He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by him that dwells within it. Thus, he who swears by heaven also swears by the throne of God and him who sits on it. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy and faith. You should do both and leave nothing undone. You blind guides! You strain out the gnat and swallow the camel! Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, yet the inside is full of extortion and excess. You are blind. Clean the inside of the cup and platter first. Then clean the outside. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs that appear beautiful on the outside. They are full of dead men's bones and uncleanness on the inside. You appear righteous to men. However, inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You build the tombs for the prophets and decorate the tombs of the righteous. You claim that you would not have been involved with your fathers when they spilled the blood of the prophets. You witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up the (guilt) measure of your fathers. You serpents! You offspring of vipers! How will you escape from being destroyed in the ever-burning fires of the Valley of Hinnom? (Greek: Gehenna, the trash fires in the valley just outside of Jerusalem)
He answered them: An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign. No sign will be given but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
You serpents! You offspring of vipers! How will you escape from being destroyed in the ever-burning fires of the Valley of Hinnom? (Greek: Gehenna, the trash fires in the valley just outside of Jerusalem)
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs that appear beautiful on the outside. They are full of dead men's bones and uncleanness on the inside.
I also tell you, your righteousness must be greater than the scribes and Pharisees or you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
The Lord was aware that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John. Actually Jesus did not baptize. His disciples baptized. He left Judea, and departed again into Galilee.
Woe to you! You are as the tombs that do not appear and men walk over them and do not know it.
The scribes and the Pharisees watched to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. They looked for a way to accuse him.
He sent me and is with me. He has not left me alone. I always do the things that are pleasing to him!
Jesus replied: Foxes have holes, and the birds of heaven have nests, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.
He left and went into their synagogue.
Then he returned to Nazareth the place where he was raised. He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath day. This was his custom. There he stood up to read.
Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.
Again, I say to you, that if two of you are in agreement on earth about anything for which they will make a request, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
Every priest stands daily, serving and offering time after time the same sacrifices. Yet they can never take away sins. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
What then is the law? It was added (to cause awareness of sin) because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He did not say to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to your seed, which is Christ.
I will choose one of your sons to be king when you reach the end of your life and are buried in the tomb of your ancestors. I will make him a strong ruler. I will allow no one to take his long lasting kingdom away from him. He will be the one to build a temple for me.
I called you! I stretched out my hand to you. You paid no attention to me.
My people did not listen to my voice. Israel did not obey me.
He therefore that rejects this, rejects not man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to us.
The Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God and were not baptized by him.
Jehovah answered: Samuel, do everything they want you to do. I am really the one they have rejected as their king.
Afterward, you know, he wanted to receive (inherit) his father's blessing. He was turned back, because he could not find any way to change what he had done. He was in tears when he looked for it.
The sin of divination is rebellion. Wickedness and idolatry are arrogance. They are evil. Because you rejected the word of Jehovah, he rejects you as king.
So Jehovah would have nothing to do with all the offspring of Israel. He caused trouble for them. He gave them up into the hands of their attackers, till he had sent them away from before his face.
But he told them: 'I do not know you.'
Again he will say: 'I do not know where you come from. Get away from me, you wicked people!'
Is this the carpenter, the son of Mary, brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? Are not his sisters here with us? He offended them.
Everyone in the synagogue was angry when they heard these things. They rose up to drive him out of the city. They led him to the top of the hill where their city was built to throw him down the hill.
First he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
He that rejects me and does not accept my message has one that judges him. The word (divine expression) (God's Word) that I spoke shall judge him now and in the last day. (Deuteronomy 18:19)
He came to his own. They did not receive him!
I came in my Father's name and you did not receive me. If another came in his own name you would receive him.
Jesus said to them: Have you read the Scriptures, 'The stone the builders rejected has been made the chief cornerstone of the building. This was Jehovah's doing, and it is wonderful in our eyes.' (Isaiah 28:16)
Everyone in the city came out to meet Jesus. They begged him to go away from their country.
They cried out in unison: Take this man away and release to us Barabbas!
He sent me and is with me. He has not left me alone. I always do the things that are pleasing to him!
He said: Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Take this cup from me. Even so not what I will, but what you will.
Jesus said to Peter: Put the sword in the sheath. Shall I drink the cup the Father has given me?
No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him. I will resurrect him (raise him up) in the last day.
Do not wonder about this for the hour is coming when everyone in the grave will hear his voice.
This is the will of him that sent me that I should not lose any of those he has given me, but I should raise them up at the last day. For this is the will of my Father. Every one who sees the Son and puts active faith in him will have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and you say look he is a gluttonous man, and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!
People passing by spoke evil abuse to him. They wagged their heads
But with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth (power of his words), and with the spirit (breath) of his lips he will destroy the wicked.
He has established a day (time) in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man [Jesus] whom he has ordained. Of that he gives proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead. (John 5:22) (Isaiah 2:4) (Acts 10:42)
I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he who sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.
But he says to the Son: God is your throne forever and ever. (Your throne, Oh God-like one, is forever.) A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. (Psalm 45:6, 7)
God is your throne forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
Some day there will be a king who rules with integrity, and national leaders who govern with righteousness. Princes will rule for the sake of justice.
In His days Judah will be saved. Israel will dwell securely. This is his name by which he will be called, Jehovah Is Our Righteousness.
The strength of the King loves justice. You have established equity. You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, Your God, has anointed you with the oil of joy above your fellows.
You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions.
It is because of him you are united with Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.
He puts on righteousness like a coat of armor and a helmet of salvation on his head. He wears clothes of vengeance. He wraps himself with zeal as a coat.
He sees that there is no one to help. He is astounded that there is no one to intercede. So he saves him with his own power. His righteousness supports him.
Jesus answered emphatically: This is the proper way to do everything that God requires. This is the way it must be!
Seventy weeks (seventy sets of seven time periods) are decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish transgression and to make an end of sin, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who exerts active faith.
Righteousness will be the belt around his loins. Faithfulness will be the belt around His waist.
The sun of righteousness with it's healing will shine on you who respect my name and obey me. You will be free and paw the ground like fat calves.
I announced the good news of righteousness in the great congregation. I will not close my lips. You know that, O Jehovah.
(To Her Beloved) Until the daybreaks and the shadows flee away, turn my beloved, and be like a gazelle or a young stag upon the mountains of Bether.
My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he stands behind our wall, he looks through the windows, gazing through the lattice.
Next he traveled to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. There he taught them on the Sabbath day.
He entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath and taught. There was a man there whose right hand was withered.
Then he returned to Nazareth the place where he was raised. He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath day. This was his custom. There he stood up to read.
The Son of man is lord even of the Sabbath.
Teacher, Moses said if a man dies having no children, his brother should marry his wife, and bring up seed for his brother. There were seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no children, left his wife to his brother. The same happened to the second, right on through the seventh.

After that the woman died. In the resurrection, with which of the seven will she be married? All seven had her. Jesus answered: You are mistaken! You do not know the scriptures or the power of God. In the resurrection they will not marry nor be given in marriage. They will be like the angels in heaven. Concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you read that which was spoken to you by God? God said: 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' God is not the God of the dead, but of the living!
Teacher, Moses wrote that if a man's brother die, and leave a wife behind him, and leave no child, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed for his brother. There were seven brothers the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. The second took her, and died, leaving no seed behind him. The third also died without leaving a seed.

The seven left no seed. The woman also died. In the resurrection whose wife shall she be of them? For each of the seven had her as wife. Jesus replied: Is it not for this cause that you err? You do not know the scriptures or the power of God. For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as angels in heaven. It is a fact that the dead will be raised again. Have you not read the account of the burning bush in the book of Moses? Did you notice how God spoke to him, saying: I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living. You are greatly mistaken.
The Pharisees assembled together when they heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence.
The Pharisees and Sadducees tested Jesus by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
(omitted, text not found in early manuscripts)
Faithful is the saying, and worthy of acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.
He is able to save completely those who approach God through him, because he is always alive to intercede for them.
Who is this coming from Bozrah in Edom with his clothes stained bright red? Who is this dressed in splendor, going forward with great strength? It is I, Jehovah! I am coming to announce my victory. I am powerful enough to save you!
Jesus said to him: Salvation has come to this house today. He is also a son of Abraham.
Jehovah has announced to the ends of the earth: Tell my people, Zion, your salvation is coming. His reward for us and recompense are with him.'
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king comes to you! He is righteous having salvation. He is humble, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the son of a she ass.
It was appropriate that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, should bring many sons to glory, to make the Chief Agent of their salvation perfect through suffering.
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must also be lifted up. Everyone who has an active faith in him may have everlasting life.
Being made perfect, he became the source (cause) (channel) (conduit) (pathway) (facilitator) of eternal salvation to all who obey him. (Psalm 3:8)
He says: It is a small thing that you are my servant. You will raise up the tribes of Jacob and restore the preserved ones of Israel. I will also make you a light to the nations that my salvation will reach to the end of the earth.
God exalted him to his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
He raised up a horn of salvation (power of deliverance) for us in the house of his servant David
Both he who sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all from one. For this reason Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
Jesus suffered outside the gate that he might sanctify the people through his own blood.
Behold, I send my messenger! He will prepare the way before me. Seek Jehovah! He will suddenly come to his Temple along with the messenger of the covenant. He is one you desire, behold, he comes, said Jehovah of Hosts.

Your arrows are sharp. The peoples fall under you. Your arrows are in the heart of the King's enemies. God is your throne forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, Your God, has anointed you with the oil of joy above your fellows. All Your garments are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia. Stringed instruments from the ivory palaces have made you glad. Kings' daughters are among your noble ladies. At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir. Listen, O daughter, pay attention and incline your ear: Forget your people and your father's house. Then the King will desire your beauty. Bow down to him because he is your Lord. The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift. The rich among the people will seek your favor. The King's daughter is all glorious within. Her clothing is interwoven with gold. She will be led to the King in embroidered work. The virgins, her companions who follow her, will be brought to you. They will come forward with gladness and rejoicing. They will enter into the King's palace. In place of your fathers will be your sons. You will make them princes in all the earth. I will cause your name to be remembered in all generations. Therefore the peoples will give you thanks forever and ever.
Jesus replied: Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.
But he spoke of the temple of his body.
He said to them: Do you see these things? I tell you, not one stone will be left upon another. They will all be thrown down.
Jesus said: See these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another. They will all be thrown down.
Concerning these things you see, the days will come, in which there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Behold, I send my messenger! He will prepare the way before me. Seek Jehovah! He will suddenly come to his Temple along with the messenger of the covenant. He is one you desire, behold, he comes, said Jehovah of Hosts.
I will shake all the nations and make them afraid. The treasures of all the nations will be brought here. I will fill this house with glory.
Then the Devil took him into the holy city and had him stand on top of the Temple.
He led him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle (highest level) of the temple. Then he said to him: If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here.
Under the power of the spirit he came to the temple. The parents brought in the child Jesus, that they obey the custom of the law.
Following the days of their purification according to the Law of Moses they brought him up to Jerusalem. There they would present him to God.
Jesus went into the Temple and drove out all who were trading there. He overturned the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those trading in doves. He told them: It is written, 'My house is to be named a house of prayer,' but you are making it a hiding place of thieves.
He made a whip of cords, and chased them all out of the temple, including the sheep and the oxen. He poured out the coins of the moneychangers and overturned the tables. He told those who sold doves: Take these things away. Do not make my Father's house a house of merchandise. His disciples remembered what was written. 'Zeal for your house shall eat me up.' (Psalm 69:9)
I was with you every day in the Temple teaching and you did not take me. This is done so that the scriptures will be fulfilled.
The Pharisees and Sadducees tested Jesus by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
A lawyer stood up to test him. He asked: Teacher what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?
Jesus perceived their wickedness. He said: Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
In reply Jesus answered: It is written; man shall not live on bread alone, but on all (everything) (every word) (every utterance) (every declaration) that proceeds from the mouth of Jehovah. (Deuteronomy 8:3)
Go away, Satan! demanded Jesus. It is written, It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.' (Deuteronomy 6:13-15)
Again it is written, Jesus replied, 'you must not put Jehovah your God to the test.' (Deuteronomy 6:16)
Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat. I prayed for you that your faith would not fail. Once you have turned again strengthen your brothers.
Since he has suffered and was tested in every way; he is able to help those who are being tested.
We do not have a high priest who is not able to sympathize with our infirmities (weaknesses). He was tested in all things like ourselves. Yet he was without sin!
Then the Devil left Jesus, and the angels came and served him.
Satan tempted Jesus. This lasted forty days. The angels took care of Jesus.

Jesus went to the territory of Tyre and Sidon. He did not want anyone to know that he was staying in a house there. However it could not be kept a secret.
Jesus went away from there into the country of Tyre and Sidon.
Jerusalem, Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and from Tyre and Sidon. These people heard the great things he did and came to him.
He came down with them, and stood on a level place. A great crowd of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem came to hear him. Others from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases.
Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon that were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the Day of Judgment than for you.
We passed to the south of Cyprus and sailed to Syria. We landed at Tyre where the ship unloaded it's cargo. Having found the disciples, we stayed there seven days. Guided by the Spirit the disciples urged Paul not to go to Jerusalem.
Herod highly disagreed with them at Tyre and Sidon. But they finally came to an agreement. They secured the support of Blastus a trusted personal servant of the king. They desired peace because their country was supported by the king's country.
This is everlasting life that they should have *deep, intimate knowledge of you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have commissioned. *(Greek: ginosko: know, perceive, be sure, understand)
Jesus answered: The first is, Hear, O Israel; Jehovah our God is one God (Jehovah).
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
I will brag about this person, but I will not brag about myself unless it is about my weaknesses.
