Bearing fruit » Reaping what you sow
Say you to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be done to him.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he comes and rains righteousness upon you. You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped iniquity; you have eaten the fruit of lies: because you did trust in your way, in the multitude of your mighty men.
For the day of the LORD is near upon all the nations: as you have done, it shall be done unto you: your reward shall return upon your own head. For as you have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the nations drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had never been.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
