And he has slandered your servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in your eyes.

A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.

Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand justice.

Put not forth yourself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:

But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

So the poor has hope, and injustice shuts her mouth.

The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop its mouth.

Judge for yourselves: is it proper that a woman pray unto God uncovered? Does not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man has long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
